According to the Metropolitan Police, four officers sustained injuries and 14 individuals were detained following heated confrontations with demonstrators outside Iran’s embassy in London.

The injured officers, who suffered minor harm, were transported to the hospital after projectiles were hurled during the Friday protest.

Those arrested face allegations including violent disorder and trespassing, as reported by the police force.

Videos circulating on social media captured scenes of protesters being detained and depicted others nursing injuries.

Among the detainees was an individual accused of scaling the Kensington building and removing the Iranian flag.

A Metropolitan Police representative explained in a statement: “During the demonstration at the Iranian embassy on Friday, January 16, a protester unlawfully entered private premises, traversed several balconies, and took down the embassy’s flag.”

‘A group of protesters then attempted to prevent his lawful arrest, and dispersal tactics were used by officers to ensure public safety and prevent further disorder.

‘Officers arrested the man on suspicion of criminal damage, trespass on diplomatic property and assaulting police. He remains in police custody.
