A security guard, once dismissed by Kim Kardashian following the notorious 2016 Paris robbery, has now been identified as the same individual who confronted Jude Law’s 11-year-old daughter, Ada, on Saturday, according to an exclusive report by the Daily Mail.
The security professional, Pascal Duvier, aged 53, reportedly approached Ada Law in an ‘aggressive’ manner while she was having breakfast with her mother at a luxurious hotel in São Paulo, Brazil, where singer Chappell Roan was also a guest.
Duvier was previously employed by the Kardashian family, overseeing their security during the infamous jewel heist in Paris that resulted in Kim losing an estimated $10 million worth of jewelry.
At the time of the robbery, Duvier was accompanying Kim’s sisters, Kourtney and Kendall, at a nightclub, leaving Kim vulnerable in her hotel suite.
Following the incident, Kim Kardashian’s insurance company filed a lawsuit against Duvier, which was later resolved with a settlement in 2020.
Currently responsible for the safety of Chappell Roan, known for the hit “Pink Pony Club,” Duvier found himself in the spotlight again during a confrontation at the upscale Palácio Tangará hotel, which ended with Ada Law in tears.
Pascal Duvier, the former Kardashian bodyguard, is now at the center of the Chappell Roan hotel controversy
Duvier was working as Chappell Roan’s security guard in São Paulo last weekend when he allegedly confronted Jude Law’s 11-year-old daughter at her behest
The little girl was at the hotel with her mother Catherine Harding and the pair had been planning to attend Roan’s performance at the Lollapalooza music festival as a birthday treat for Ada.
But, according to a social media post written by Ada’s irate stepfather, soccer star Jorginho Frello, 34, the outing was junked after Duvier waded in.
Jorginho, who previously played for Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and Chelsea, said the confrontation came after Ada had wandered past the table where Roan was having breakfast.
The midfielder said his stepdaughter did a double take to make sure it was the singer – who is famous for her heavy drag-style make-up – before walking back to her own table.
It was there that towering Duvier confronted the mother and the little girl – leaving Ada ‘extremely shaken’ and in floods of tears.
Harding, 34, and Ada were also staying at the hotel and had planned to watch Roan’s performance, with Jorginho posting a photo of the little girl’s handmade fan art celebrating the singer.

Duvier, a German-born judo expert, is said to have reprimanded the little girl, leaving her ‘extremely shaken’ and in tears
London-born Harding also addressed the altercation in a social media post late on Sunday night and acknowledged Roan has denied personally sending Duvier to intervene.
Responding to her comments, Harding said: ‘Look, I would like to hope not, but at the same time, I think that you have a responsibility when you are a celebrity to make sure, I guess, that the people who work for you and that act on your behalf are acting on your behalf.’
She added: ‘Would he do that if he didn’t have her authority to do so? I don’t know. If he does, then, obviously, that’s a big problem because then he’s representing her in a way that she doesn’t want to be represented.’
According to Harding, the incident ‘ruined’ Ada’s birthday treat after Duvier chose to ‘berate and scold’ the mother-daughter pair with a ‘very aggressive tone’.
Harding added: ‘For me, I feel like if she [Roan] really didn’t send him, [the security guard] overstepped a boundary because he is quite an intimidating [man].’
The mom-of-two also claimed Duvier had told her that her daughter was ‘badly educated’ and had threatened to file a complaint with the hotel.
Chappell Roan later took to Instagram to publicly apologize to Jude Law’s daughter as she insisted she did not ask any security guard to approach her hours after her team were accused of leaving the young fan in tears
Duvier is best known for being Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s longtime bodyguard. The famous pair decided to part ways with him in November, 2016
Harding concluded: ‘If it wasn’t her, I hope she learns to maybe not allow the people who work for her to treat people like this.’
The fallout from the altercation has seen Roan banned from performing in Rio de Janeiro – where Jorginho now plies his trade for Brazilian Série A club Flamengo – by the city’s mayor Eduardo Cavaliere.
In a statement shared on X, Cavaliere slammed the singer’s behavior and wrote that ‘as long as I’m in charge of our city – this young lady @ChappellRoan will never perform at Todo Mundo No Rio’.
He added: ‘I doubt that Shakira would do that! By the way, @FrelloJorginho, your little one is already the guest of honor from the organization in May!’
Roan has denied sending Duvier to confront Ada and has publicly apologized. The Daily Mail has contacted Duvier for comment.
