American country music artist Drew Baldridge recently shared a video capturing a disturbing altercation he witnessed at a McDonald’s in Australia. Despite the alarming scene, Baldridge expressed admiration for some of the individuals involved.

Currently on tour with ‘Son of a Sinner’ sensation Jelly Roll, Baldridge posted the footage last week, noting it was taken during their Melbourne stop.

The video appears to document a heated exchange where a customer is seen verbally attacking a female employee at the counter.

“This guy walks in and approaches the girl taking orders, repeatedly hurling insults at her,” Baldridge recounted. “He said, ‘F*** you, you dumb b***h’ at least five times. I was getting really frustrated and told him, ‘Bro, you need to calm down. You don’t talk to women like that.’ Then, shockingly, he spat on her, all because his order was wrong.”

Baldridge explained that before he had a chance to step in, two Australians in the restaurant took action. He commended them for their swift response to the situation.

Baldridge said before he could intervene, a pair of Aussies also at the restaurant stepped in, who he praised for their quick actions.

‘This other dude came over. He said, ”Hey, bro, we don’t talk to women like that” and before I know it, these dudes got this dude on the ground,’ the musician said.

‘The guys were holding him down saying it was the wrong country to abuse women.’

Baldridge said he was shocked but impressed to see two people swiftly take action against the allegedly abusive man.

‘It’s about standing up for what is right. It was just so inspiring to watch these dudes stand up for this woman,’ he said.

‘Our country needs more of that and a lot of people are not going to talk about this. You’re going to think maybe it was the wrong way to do it – you shouldn’t fight, but sometimes you gotta know when to fight.’

Most commenters agreed with the singer and commended the men.

‘Honor and chivalry ain’t dead,’ one person said.

‘Thank you to those men, that all that needs to be said,’ another added.

Baldridge and American rapper Jelly Roll, aka Jason DeFord, held 10 concerts across Australia and New Zealand from October 24 to November 8.

Earlier this month, DeFord, 40, made headlines when he claimed he was ‘treated like a criminal’ at Louis Vuitton in Sydney.

The pair’s last Australia show was in Townsville on November 6. DeFord was set to head over to Auckland to treat Kiwi fans on Friday, but cancelled an hour before the show.

The multi-platinum Nashville artist addressed fans directly across his social channels, saying he had an illness and had tried to push through it.

‘Dear Auckland, I’ve done everything I can, I just can’t shake it,’ he wrote. ‘It breaks my heart, I’ve probably missed three shows in the last decade. I pride myself on showing up no matter what. Just couldn’t do it this time. Please forgive me.’

Baldridge did travel to New Zealand and did a pop-up show for fans, saying that he ‘hopes Jelly gets better soon’.

Daily Mail has contacted Drew Baldridge’s label for comment.
