Over the weekend, renowned music producer David Foster, 75, appeared noticeably weary during an outing in Santa Monica, California. Despite his usual upbeat demeanor, Foster seemed unable to muster a smile as he left the popular Giorgio Baldi restaurant.
Accompanying him was his wife, actress Katharine McPhee, 41, adding a touch of glamour to the evening. The couple, known for their significant age difference, seemed to enjoy a quiet evening out together.
Foster, a Canadian maestro known for collaborating with mega-stars like Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson, opted for a laid-back look. He wore a casual button-up shirt paired with a stylish black satin Louis Vuitton bomber jacket, complemented by faded black jeans and white Prada sneakers.
Often referred to as a “silver fox” due to his distinguished appearance, Foster has been linked to several high-profile figures, including model Christie Brinkley. On this occasion, however, he appeared deep in thought as he and McPhee prepared to head home.
McPhee, sporting a chic look, styled her hair in a sleek pulled-back fashion. She donned a cozy gray sweater tucked into belted black jeans, completed with elegant black pointy pumps. A classic Chanel purse added a touch of sophistication to her ensemble.

Foster and McPhee became engaged in June 2018.
They married a year later on June 28, 2019, at the St. Yeghiche Armenian Apostolic Church in Kensington, London.
She gave birth to a son on February 22, 2021.
Last year Foster said he loves performing with his wife.
The writer and producer had multiple dates scheduled during December and January in California, New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts with his spouse McPhee.
David admitted performing is a nice change from being in the studio alone.
He told Variety: ‘I am a workaholic and I move around a lot.
‘Kat and I started touring together four or five years ago. It’s a nice little show and we talk about our lives and how we got together.
‘For the longest time, I was in the studio just pounding out music. The artists got to go and enjoy our work and get feedback from a live audience, while I just kept staying in the studio and doing more records. So it was great to finally get out there and perform these songs with Kat.’

David also came out of producing retirement recently to work on Jennifer Hudson’s new Christmas album and said: ‘That was a lot of fun. I really haven’t made a record in 10 years, and it took a lot for somebody to talk me out of retirement. It’s a great record.’
David also revealed how his career changed after he stopped producing records, including the offer to write music for ‘Boop!’, the musical-comedy adaptation of Dave Fleischer’s 1930s cartoon character Betty Boop.
He said: ‘I didn’t want to stop working. [Producer] Bill Haber asked me, and of course I said yes. It sounded like a good challenge because, for Broadway, you don’t have to write a hit song; you just have to write a good song.
‘And I still felt capable of writing a good song. In fact, we just had a Zoom yesterday, and I have to write a new song. It’s a moving target, as you probably know.’
