Trump's Warning Shot: No More Mr. Nice Guy After Dem Runs Back to His Party Despite ‘Life Saving’ Pardon

On Sunday, President Trump expressed his frustration on Truth Social, feeling profoundly let down after issuing a full pardon to Democratic Representative Henry Cuellar (TX-28) and his wife. Cuellar, in a surprising move, announced his return to the party that he previously felt abandoned him.

Trump criticized Cuellar for his apparent “lack of loyalty,” hinting that there would be “no more Mr. Nice Guy” regarding future pardons for those who appear ungrateful for his clemency.

Cuellar, a committed Democrat, had primarily clashed with his party over former President Joe Biden’s border policies. Trump claimed that the Biden administration’s Department of Justice unfairly targeted Cuellar and his family, leading to the pardon.

The charges against the Cuellars included bribery, conspiracy to commit bribery, money laundering, conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud, and acting as unregistered foreign agents. These allegations stemmed from claims that they accepted nearly $600,000 in bribes from an Azerbaijani energy company and a Mexican bank in exchange for political favors.

Shortly after receiving the unexpected pardon, Cuellar eagerly announced his candidacy for reelection. Speaking to reporters after filing, Cuellar expressed gratitude to the President but dismissed any notion of changed allegiance, stating that “nothing has changed.”

President Trump believed that something should have shifted, considering the significant ordeal Cuellar faced under Biden’s Department of Justice.

“Can you imagine?” Trump wondered aloud on Truth Social media. “The Democrats, under the Crooked Joe Biden Administration, who always use extreme force and jail-time to destroy their political opponent, wanted to put Congressman Henry Cuellar, and his wife, Imelda, in PRISON, for 15 years, which I predicted these Radical Left Lunatics would do.”

“And they never stopped wanting to fulfill this evil quest!” he continued. “The Dems mercilessly went after Henry with everything they had! They were looking to destroy him, his lovely wife, his two young daughters, and anyone close to them.”

The President shared that Cuellar’s daughters had written to him, pleading for action to save their parents, which he said led him to feel sympathy. But all for naught.

“I signed the papers, and said to people in the Oval Office that I just did a very good, perhaps life-saving, thing,” Trump said. “God was very happy with me that day!”

Cuellar, however, by announcing his campaign as a Democrat, seemingly wasn’t quite as enamored.

“Congressman Henry Cuellar announced that he will be ‘running’ for Congress again … as a Democrat, continuing to work with the same Radical Left Scum that just weeks before wanted him and his wife to spend the rest of their lives in prison,” he fumed.

“Oh, well, next time, no more Mr. Nice guy!”

The President should remember that Cuellar might have one-issue sanity when it comes to open border policies, but he’s never been a Trump supporter or even America First. He is very much part of that radical left machine.

The congressman voted without hesitation to impeach Trump both for a mundane phone call to Ukraine and for the mostly peaceful protest on January 6th, 2021.

Who could have predicted a guy like that would turn around and bite the President in the backside?
