A tree fell on power lines Wednesday afternoon forcing the closure of state Route 79 in both directions at Palomar Divide Truck Trail, a few miles north of Warner Springs, authorities said.

The California Highway Patrol reported the lines down and both lanes blocked at 2:28 p.m., with an unknown time for when the road would open again.

San Diego Gas & Electric Co.’s online outage page did not list any outages as of 3 p.m. No further information was available.
