A WOMAN accused of killing a father during a hit-and-run shared a shocking post the night of the man’s death.
Haley Layman, 25, was arrested after she allegedly killed a man who was riding a bicycle.




Police reports state that the hit-and-run accident resulted in the death of Bobby Green, local CBS affiliate WCAX reported.
Layman allegedly admitted to drinking while driving and that she drove her car to a nearby county to be repaired after the accident.
The victim’s daughter, Clara Green, claimed that Layman shared disturbing posts just hours before she was arrested.
“Rest in peace Bobby Dan,” Layman allegedly posted on Facebook.
“You’re going to be missed so much.”
The 25-year-old also reposted Clara Green’s post begging for help from other to find the person who killed her father.
“I realize I don’t often share personal things and seldom ask for help, but if anyone has information about who hit my dad…I’m pleading with you,” Clara expressed in the post.
Clara said that she will “pray” for whoever was responsible for her father’s death.
“ I don’t hate [them],” she said in an interview with WCAX.
“I just wish [they] would have made a different decision that night to not drink and drive.”
Green’s daughter said that the driver hit him so hard that it “tore up his right leg and ripped his pinky off on his right hand.”
Thankfully, a nearby neighbor sat with Green in his final moments.
“She grabbed a flashlight, located him, and then fetched a blanket because he mentioned feeling cold. She stayed by his side, praying with him,” Clara narrated.
Unfortunately, the man died only a few minutes after the ambulance showed up.
“The officer from the Tennessee Highway Patrol mentioned having a piece of the headlight, and another person noted that the car’s windshield wiper was also torn off,” Clara remembered.
Layman didn’t call 911 after she allegedly hit the man, and she was arrested by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee less than 24 hours after Green’s death.

On March 31, 2025, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hit-and-run incident at the intersection of Rock Avenue and Main Street in Palmer, Tennessee. An individual riding a bicycle, later identified as Bobby Dan Green of Palmer, was struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene. Tragically, Mr. Green succumbed to his injuries.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) arrived on scene and has taken over the investigation.
THP is requesting assistance from the public. Any information or eyewitnesses that could help identify the vehicle involved are crucial to the investigation. If you have any information, please contact the Tennessee Highway Patrol at 615-741-2060, attention to Sergeant Minter, THP CID.
Clara said that she wishes the driver had done the right thing.
The heartbroken daughter mentioned that her late father struggled a lot during his life but said that he “was good.”
“He was good and he didn’t deserve that.”
Despite any difficulties, Clara said she loved her father unconditionally.
Green’s daughter set up a GoFundMe to help pay for her father’s funeral costs.
“We are asking if any friends or family would be willing to even give a single dollar to help,” the description for the fundraiser reads.
“I loved him so much…If anyone could help in any way, I would really appreciate it.”
The fundraiser has raised $3,785 so far, exceeding her goal of $3,500.
