Nip/Tuck star Dylan Walsh ‘suffered a stroke’ ahead of his car accident in New Jersey less than two weeks ago, his rep said Wednesday.
The latest update, disclosed to TMZ, reveals that the 61-year-old actor had open cans of White Claw Hard Seltzer in his 2022 Ford Explorer before crashing into utility poles in Rumson, New Jersey, earlier this month, as stated by authorities.
On August 17, Walsh confessed to officers at the crash site that he was returning from a bar where he had been drinking, as per a report from the Rumson Borough Police Department reviewed by Daily Mail.
The report indicates that the officers responded to ‘the intersection of East River Road and Blackpoint Road’ around 5:05 p.m. local time, where they found ‘a heavily damaged black Ford Explorer pinned against a utility pole.’
Authorities noted ‘it was clear that the vehicle had struck an initial utility pole, causing it to break in half and dangle by overhead wires.’
Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Walsh for further comment on the story.

Police reported the manager told them Leslie could be heard yelling, ‘Get the bag out of the back seat,’ prior to them showing up on the scene.
Walsh provided officers with a blood sample, of which the results are pending; he has not been charged with DWI, the outlet reported.
Police said that Walsh said he had been returning from an outing at the beach in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, which is about seven miles to the north.
According to the report, Walsh informed the officers that he had been at the Mule Barn Tavern prior to the accident. Police described his appearance at the scene as ‘extremely red’ and ‘highly disoriented.’
