According to Digital Spy, Mick is in for a tough New Year as his plans to reunite his broken family don’t go to plan.

His mum, Shirley believes that it is time for him to come clean and tell his son Ollie about what’s really going on between himself and his absent wife, Linda.

This comes as EastEnders episodes will return to their usual duration of 30 minutes in January, after being shortened by up to ten minutes by the coronavirus pandemic.

The BBC soap will air three full-length instalments a week, with a fourth being reduced in time since less cast and crew members are allowed on set.
