THOMPSON, Ohio — An investigation is underway following a three-car crash with entrapment in Thompson on Wednesday morning.
According to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at Route 166 and Clay Street. Emergency responders from the Hambden and Thompson Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene.

The victims were taken to local hospitals, but authorities have not provided any details about the number of people involved or the extent of their injuries.
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) posted on X at 9:03 a.m. that Route 166 between Route 86 and Route 528 is currently closed due to the crash.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
