As the second week of the Alexander brothers’ criminal sex trafficking trial unfolded in a Manhattan federal court, the courtroom gallery saw a poignant figure: one of the siblings’ wives, seated quietly with a pink diary perched on her lap. The diary’s pages were adorned with hopeful, neatly written bubble letters from Shani Zigron, the wife of Alon Alexander, proclaiming, “Alon Coming Home Now.”
Alon, aged 38, stands trial alongside his identical twin Oren and their older brother Tal, who is 39. The brothers face serious charges of sex trafficking. According to prosecutors, the trio allegedly conspired to lure women, drug them, and subject them to rape and violent sexual assaults in a scheme spanning over a decade. The trial, expected to wrap up before the month’s end, has captivated attention due to its severe allegations.
From the trial’s outset, the Alexanders’ family has staunchly defended the brothers’ innocence. Their parents, Shlomi and Orly Alexander, issued a firm statement asserting, “We know who our boys are, and we believe in their innocence.” This declaration reflects the family’s unwavering support as they attend the trial daily, standing by their sons through every harrowing testimony.
Shlomi, Orly, and Zigron have been steadfast in their courtroom presence, enduring the graphic testimonies and disturbing allegations that paint a grim picture of the brothers, starkly contrasting with the familial loyalty and defense showcased outside the courtroom.
Throughout the trial, Zigron, who is 30, has maintained a composed demeanor even as alleged victims took the stand. She has been seen occasionally rubbing laminated prayer cards, jotting notes in her diary, or gazing into the distance, a silent testament to the emotional toll the proceedings have taken.
Throughout the trial, Zigron, 30, has remained mostly stone-faced during alleged victims’ testimony, occasionally rubbing laminated prayer cards between her fingers, scribbling notes in her diary, or staring off into the distance.
But it was the sight of her closet being raid by FBI agents at the luxury Miami home that she once shared with Alon and their two children that finally reduced her to tears on Wednesday.

Zigron’s emotional display came as images of the raid were shared on a public court feed, documenting the day of her husband’s arrest in December 2024.
She was seen wiping away tears and shaking her head as images from inside the couple’s master bedroom closet appeared on a courtroom monitor. Orly Alexander, meanwhile, glanced back at Zigron and appeared to smile broadly and laugh.
FBI Special Agent Kristin Chandler testified that she recovered three memory cards from a drawer inside the closet, mixed among cuff links and other accessories. What investigators found on the cards has not yet been disclosed publicly.
Chandler told the court the raid took place at 6am, and that Alon, Zigron, their children and a nanny were ordered via a patrol car loudspeaker to exit the home.
Zigron stared down during Chandler’s recollection of the raid, bouncing her foot as her jaw remained clenched.
Most of Zigron’s most animated moments have come during arguments over the admissibility of evidence before the judge, and when exhibits have been displayed on screen, shaking her head and at times gesturing in apparent disbelief.
Zigron suffered an audible outburst on Thursday as Judge Valerie Caproni weighed arguments from the government and defense over whether a text chain involving the three brothers and their friends could be shown to the jury unredacted.
The messages, from a WhatsApp group chat in 2020, appeared to show the brothers joking with friends ahead of a trip with their wives and girlfriends.

‘Yeah let’s get these girls real wasted. Maybe we’ll be able to bang them easier,’ wrote one of their friends, adding that they ‘used to do it’ by mixing tequila and Xanax.
The defense argued the messages were merely an off-color joke, not a confession, and that portions should be redacted to avoid prejudicing the jury.
Zigron nodded vigorously as defense attorneys spoke. She then shook her head and shrugged incredulously when prosecutors asked the judge to bar the defense from referencing that the trip included wives, muttering something aloud that drew the attention of Orly and Shlomi.
During the same evidentiary argument, Zigron laughed and smiled at a video played for the judge that showed the brothers joking about drugging women while on vacation with a group of unidentified females.
In the clip, Oren was heard telling a woman: ‘I’m serious. I drug b**ches.’
One of the brothers was also seen massaging a woman as he applied sunscreen to her chest and inner thighs. A three-minute version of the footage is expected to be shown to the jury next week.
Last week, Zigron expressed her support for and her feelings towards her husband more openly.
Before court was called to order, she flashed a heart symbol toward him and mouthed ‘I love you’ from the gallery, a visible show of affection as jurors prepared to hear further allegations involving him and his brothers.

A day earlier, Zigron sat listening as a woman testifying under the pseudonym Katie Moore alleged Alon drugged and raped her after a house party at actor Zac Efron’s home in 2012, laughing in her face as she begged him to stop.
Zigron was photographed by the Daily Mail leaving court later that day, appearing to smile moments after a second woman, testifying under the pseudonym Maya Miller, alleged to jurors that Tal Alexander violently raped her at a rented Hamptons mansion in 2014.
The number of supporters visible in the courtroom for the Alexanders dwindled considerably during the second week of testimony.
While Zigron has been a constant presence, Oren’s wife, fellow model Kamila Hansen, has appeared in court only briefly on two occasions.
Tal Alexander is currently going through a divorce from his estranged wife, Arielle, who filed to separate within weeks of his December 2024 arrest and shortly after the birth of their first child. She has not appeared in court.
The third week of the Alexander brothers’ trial will continue on Monday.
