Former Good Morning America 3 anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are engaged just three years after their bombshell affair made headlines.
The two shared the news on Tuesday’s episode of their podcast, Amy and TJ.
‘We are sharing with all of you that we are engaged and we’ve been engaged for just about a month now,’ Robach announced.
Holmes shared, ‘We wanted to inform all of you before anyone else had the chance to; we’ve learned that lesson, I think, from past experiences regarding our relationship.’
They named the episode of the podcast ‘Robach-Holmes,’ an ode to their new last names.
Holmes explained during the podcast episode that Robach had been wearing her engagement ring out in public, but no one had seemed to leak the news.
‘I visited three huge football stadiums on three consecutive weekends, proudly wearing my engagement ring, eagerly anticipating someone would notice or ask, “Hey, what’s that?” But no one did,’ remarked Robach.
‘We haven’t been keeping it a secret, but nobody asked!’ Holmes shared.

After their affair was revealed, they were both fired from ABC, and filed for divorce from their respective partners
In 2022, Daily Mail revealed that the two were having an affair while they were both still married to their previous partners.
A set of photos obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com depicted their passionate relationship, as the couple relished flirtatious moments after filming at a New York City bar, spent time in each other’s homes, and two weeks before Thanksgiving, enjoyed a weekend retreat in a secluded cottage in Upstate New York.
On November 10, 2022 – just a day before their now-notorious weekend escape – they were seen at O’Donoghue’s bar in Times Square, shortly after pre-recording their daily show.
‘They were totally into each other,’ an eyewitness told DailyMail.com at the time.
‘She laughed at everything he said, and they were looking at each other’s phones. At one point, she was sort of dancing in her seat to the music and laughing so hard that she nearly fell into his lap.’
The next day, Holmes was observed leaving his place with a backpack and a duffle bag, and after a morning shoot, heading to a West Village restaurant close to Robach’s home.
Moments later, he walked around the corner and headed up the block to where Robach was waiting to pick him up in her BMW convertible.
The pair embarked on a two-hour drive north of the city to Shawangunk Mountains, where they checked into a remote cottage for the weekend.

A series of pictures obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com told the tale of their steamy relationship as the couple enjoyed flirty post-filming sessions at a New York City bar, alone time in each other’s apartments, and – two weeks before Thanksgiving – a weekend away in a secluded cottage in Upstate New York
After their affair was revealed, they were both fired from ABC, and filed for divorce from their respective partners.
Robach wed her now-ex-husband, Melrose Place alum Andrew Shue, in February 2009, while Holmes tied the knot with his now-ex-wife, Marilee Fiebig, in 2010.
The TV stars first grew close after they both landed jobs at ABC, and when they became cohosts of GMA3 in 2020, their chemistry was undeniable almost immediately.
They were often caught giggling to one another, partaking in sarcastic banter, and engaging in playful touches on the air – and their antics quickly turned them into one of ABC’s most popular on-screen duos.
But their flirty interactions and sweet exchanges seemed innocent at first – especially since the were both happily married to other people and seemed fiercely dedicated to their respective partners.
In addition, Amy, once insisted T.J. was like a ‘brother’ to her – which is why when it was brought to light that they had secretly become embroiled in a romance behind-the-scenes in late 2022, fans were left stunned.
Despite being shrouded in scandal, the couple put on a very public display of unity in the wake of the news – flaunting their love for the entire world to see as their previous marriages and jobs crumbled.
It seemed as though they were relieved to not have to hide it any longer, and they began packing on the PDA all over the world while jetting off on a slew of lavish vacations together.

Since starting their joint podcast, they’ve opened up a lot about their relationship.
During a June 2 episode, Robach told viewers how she had hit ‘rock bottom,’ as the two welcomed singer-songwriter Rachel Platten on as a guest.
Holmes shared that the duo attended Platten’s concert a night prior and Robach had been ‘wiping tears from her face.’
Robach gushed over the musician before sharing how the 2015 hit ‘Fight Song’ had resonated with her.
‘We know a little bit about walking through some darkness and coming through the other side and when the worst has happened,’ Robach said. ‘And I’ve thought I’ve hit rock bottom before and I actually hit rock bottom.’
She professed that the track had become her ‘anthem’ at the time of the couple’s dramatic ouster from the morning television program.
Holmes, meanwhile, characterized the process of letting go as ‘weird’ but ‘freeing.’
He said the experience was necessary to find ‘where I’m supposed to be,’ but conceded: ‘It sucks. It sucks even more than you think.’
