One of the biggest blockbuster stars of the 1990s is preparing to return to the screen in a new movie alongside Nicola Peltz.
But in a snap shared on social media, the actress is worlds away from the roles that made her a household name.
The actress recently shared a photo on her Instagram Stories, enjoying some downtime in her garden. She has shifted her focus from films to TV work over the past few years.
However, the star has landed big roles alongside Nicola, and Paul Rudd in another indie drama.
As well as kickstarting her slow return to Hollywood, she has also been a fierce advocate for mental health and arts education.
Can you guess who she is?

One of the iconic blockbuster stars from the 1990s is gearing up for a comeback in a new movie featuring Nicola Peltz. Can you guess who this star is?
It’s Mary Stuart Masterson!
The 59-year-old actress gained fame for her roles in Fried Green Tomatoes and Benny & Joon, and captured audiences in classics like Some Kind of Wonderful and Bad Girls.
Mary captivated audiences with her emotional depth and relatable charm in the 1991 film Fried Green Tomatoes, which earned over $119 million globally and received two Oscar nods.
In the film she starred as the quietly fierce Idgie Threadgoode, and she quickly made a huge impact on cinema fans.
Since her Hollywood heyday, Mary has set up her own film production company, but primarily focuses on TV roles, directing, and theatre.
She is set to star alongside Paul in the indie drama Rain Reign, and has recently starred in Five Nights at Freddy’s and The Senior.
Next, Mary is set to appear with Nicola in the new thriller Pretty Ugly, which is being written and directed by Erica Dunton.
The movie, set in North Carolina, revolves around a mother-daughter duo and explores how their relationship changes with the return of a ‘provocative makeup influencer,’ portrayed by Nicola.

Mary also starred in 1992’s Benson and Joon, but in recent years has stepped away from film acting to focus on TV work

Mary’s upcoming appearance will be in the film Pretty Ugly alongside Nicola Peltz, who has been involved in a public dispute with her husband Brooklyn Beckham’s family.
Mary stars as the mother of Raelynn (De Lisser), a young woman caught up in the glossy world of social media beauty, and her character is equally hooked in a wholly different vice – this time grisly true crime podcasts.
The mother-daughter bond is put to the test when a bold makeup influencer (Nicola Peltz) returns from LA to their quiet town of Winnabow, triggering a dark spiral involving murder, obsession, and a warped take on the American Dream.
Sharing the news of her casting, aMary wrote on Instagram: ‘I’m slow to post these things, but I am so proud to be a part of this film.
‘I had a (rather intense) ball down in Wilmington, NC with the most amazing crew and cast under the truly inspiring direction of Erica Dunton.’
Continuing, she said: ‘I will have more to say and share about this magical experience later on… you are not going to believe what my movie daughter [Jazzy] and her new friend [Nicola] get up to…’
Revealing her excitement, Nicola replied: ‘Mary you’re so incredible I’m so excited for this.’
Nicola has been embroiled in a tense feud with her husband Brooklyn Beckham’s family in recent weeks.
The family has been thrown into turmoil in recent months as it has been claimed Brooklyn has become increasingly estranged from his famous parents after failing to attend any of his father David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May.
It was also revealed that Brooklyn and Nicola’s Instagram accounts no longer follow his younger brothers in the latest family drama.
However, Brooklyn’s friends told Daily Mail that Cruz and Romeo have actually blocked them on the social media platform.
