Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, surprised everyone yesterday by announcing they had adopted a baby girl. Now, they might have hinted at their daughter’s name.
The 21-year-old Stranger Things star and her 23-year-old husband were seen taking a stroll in East Hampton with a stroller. The new mom proudly showcased her status by donning a sweatshirt with the word ‘mother’ printed on it.
Besides her sweatshirt, Brown carried a phone case featuring the initials ‘RWB’ in bright red, which could hint at their baby’s name.
Many speculate that these initials might represent their daughter’s name. Some suggest that the name could be a tribute to Millie’s late grandmother, Ruth, who passed away in 2020.
According to Bump.com, the name Ruth has Biblical origins and means ‘friend’.
The couple announced the adoption on Thursday in an Instagram post which read: ‘This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption.
‘We are thrilled to start this beautiful journey of parenthood, enjoying both peace and privacy. And then there were three. Love, Millie and Jake.’
The actress has previously been vocal about her close knit relationship with her late grandmother.

Millie Bobby Brown was seen with her husband and their new daughter. Fans believe that the initials RWB on her phone case may be a clue to her daughter’s name.
In an interview with Glamour UK in 2023, she spoke about her ‘dream’ of having a baby.
‘I wanted to be the woman that my mum is to me, and I wanted to be the woman that my grandmother was to me,’ she explained.
In March, Brown opened up in an interview on the Smartless podcast about wanting to start a family with Bongiovi, saying: ‘It is definitely in our future’.
While acknowledging that she was still ‘really young’, she added: ‘My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19.
‘I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. [Bongiovi] is one of four.’
She also touched on the idea of adopting, telling the podcast hosts: ‘I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different [from] adopting.
‘For me, like, my home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we stand by, Jake and I — our energy in the house is like, “The door is always open”.’
She also touched on the role her grandmother played in her life and her desire to be a mother.

‘Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally.
‘It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, “we cannot do that until we get married”. So that was his thing.’
Those comments came a few weeks after she opened up to Vanity Fair in February about how she and Bongiovi, whom she met through mutual friends, were ‘pretty united’ on major topics before their marriage.
‘We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want,’ she said.
Brown and Bongiovi first started dating in 2021 and announced their engagement in April 2023.
The couple secretly tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Italy in May last year.
