Three individuals tragically lost their lives in a devastating train incident when a father and his son jumped onto the tracks in an attempt to rescue a distressed family member contemplating suicide, authorities reported.
Christopher Cramp, 56, David Cramp, 31, and Thomas Cramp, 24, all died after being struck by a high-speed Amtrak train on Thursday.

Officers hurried to the section of the tracks where the three stood around 6 p.m., but unfortunately, they were unable to reach them in time to prevent the tragedy, as confirmed by the Bristol Borough Police Department.
By 6:10 pm, a southbound training heading to Philadelphia was approaching the family and couldn’t be stopped.
Police Chief Joe Moors didn’t immediately disclose any details behind the deaths but described the incident as a “tragic accident.
Nonetheless, another police spokesperson informed LevittownNow.com that Cramp was on the tracks trying to assist one of his sons experiencing a mental health emergency.
The son’s brother raced onto the tracks to try and help when the train came and hit all three of them, a resident told the Courier Times.
The police sources didn’t name the family member who was reportedly in crisis, but death reports for the trial reveal that David and Christopher’s causes of death were listed as accidents, while Thomas’s was listed as a suicide, NBC affiliate WCAU reported.
