A 32-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident on a train in the UK, which resulted in injuries to 11 individuals.
The British Transport Police announced that Anthony Williams faces 10 charges of attempted murder, along with charges of actual bodily harm and possessing a bladed weapon related to Saturday’s attack.
Additionally, Williams is accused of attempting murder in a separate event at Pontoon Dock transit station in London earlier that day.
Hailing from Peterborough in eastern England, Williams is slated to make a court appearance on Monday.
The brief but terrifying stabbing rampage caused chaos and fear aboard a train headed for London. Authorities apprehended the suspect when the train made an emergency halt in Huntingdon, eastern England.
While 11 people required hospitalization, one of the victims, a train employee, remains in critical yet stable condition.
Police say they are not treating it as an act of terror.
