Meghan Markle penned a thoughtful handwritten note for the cabin crew during a recent trip on American Airlines, an air hostess unveiled in a TikTok video.
Nina Vida, a flight attendant with AA residing in New York, expressed her excitement about her encounter with the Duchess of Sussex, who had boarded the same flight she was working on.
In her uniform, she recounted the experience to her TikTok followers, saying: ‘You guys will not believe who I just had on my flight, who I had the pleasure of serving!’
‘The Queen, the princess, the Duchess of Sussex! THE Meghan Markle was on my flight and she is so beautiful in person, she was so sweet. She wrote us a little handwritten note back,’ she revealed, in her widely viewed TikTok video.
Nina explained in the video that the cabin crew had written Meghan a note when she got on the flight, saying: ‘It’s a pleasure serving you, we love you real bad’, signing it off from the ‘AA girlies’.
Meghan, who is known to love sending personalised messages and recently sent one to a podcaster who criticised her Netflix show, delighted the girls by responding in her own calligraphic scrawl with a message on a napkin.
However, she apparently couldn’t resist adding a little plug to her lifestyle brand, As Ever, which she has begun using as her signature sign-off in recent months.
The video captures Nina showing off the note to the camera, which read: ‘Dear AA girlies, thank you for the love, hospitality and handwritten note – you know me well. All love right back to you. As ever, Meghan.’

Though the Sussexes often travel via private jet, they have been known to fly on public commercial flights – for instance, in 2023, Prince Harry jetted to the coronation on an American Airlines plane, to the shock of his fellow passengers.
In February, however, Meghan was criticised for taking a $30,000 private jet trip back to California from the Invictus Games, despite preaching environmental concerns.
Though it’s currently unclear when Meghan took the American Airlines flight, she has recently made trips to New York, such as for the Time100 summit last month and also attending a show on Broadway.
Meghan, her husband Harry and their children Archie, six, and Lilibet, three, were also reported by PEOPLE Magazine to have enjoyed a ‘sunsoaked holiday’ in recent months, to celebrate the success of her new business ventures.
Later in her video, Nina gushed over Meghan’s handwriting, though she did admit she could ‘barely read this cursive’.
‘This handwriting is giving rich! It’s giving expensive, it’s giving princess,’ she said.
Nina also revealed that Meghan had complimented her nails during the interaction, despite the captain of the flight telling her they were a bit ‘intense’.
‘She also said she loved my nails!’ she exclaimed.
Nina documents her ‘travel diaries’ as a flight attendant on her TikTok account, where she has more than 1,000 followers – and has previously claimed to serve A-listers such as Ariana Grande onboard their flights.
In March, Meghan also sent a handwritten note to a podcaster who criticised her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.

PEOPLE Magazine reported last month that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had whisked their children away on a celebratory Spring holiday (pictured together previously)
Amanda Hirsch had said she was ‘scared’ about the reception to With Love, Meghan and suggested the Duchess came across as ‘inauthentic’ and not ‘relatable’ in a trailer.
In response, Meghan sent her a note on paper headed with her gold embossed royal cypher. It said in immaculate calligraphic handwriting: ‘Don’t be scared. Let’s enjoy it’.
After receiving the letter, Hirsch said she was now a ‘fan’ of Meghan ‘for life’ and shared a picture of it to her 890,000 Instagram followers.
Mark Borkowski, one of the UK’s leading publicity gurus and crisis managers, said at the time that while Hirsch’s criticism of the show appears genuine, Meghan’s handwritten note is straight out of ‘the PR playbook’.
He told MailOnline: ‘Meghan is at a crossroads. The well of sympathy she once drew from is running dry, and the PR playbook of handwritten notes and ‘authentic’ vulnerability is starting to feel like a well-rehearsed script.
‘The noise is deafening, but the signal – the compelling reason for her continued relevance is fading’.
Mr Borkowski said: ‘When you weave all the connecting threads together – a burgeoning podcaster under the wing of a savvy media firm, strategic guest appearances by close associates of high-profile individuals, and the Kardashians’ calculated media engagements – it does paint a picture of a constructed narrative.
‘With all the connections I reckon it’s deliberate, ensuring all parties involved bask in the reflected glow of shared publicity.’

Earlier this week, Meghan posted intimate photos of the Sussex family as she celebrates her seventh wedding anniversary

He added that it appeared to be a desperate attempt by Meghan’s team to grab positive headlines amid an avalanche of dud reviews for her show.
‘It’s hard not to see this as a strategic play to generate buzz. The fingerprints suggest it’s her peculiar art of controlled chaos.’
Consultant graphologist Tracey Trussell later examined the letter sent to Amanda Hirsch, concluding that the Duchess of Sussex has an ‘unusual calligraphic style’.
She said Meghan was ‘projecting a cultured image’ with a ‘manufactured persona style of handwriting’, which takes ‘self-discipline to produce, but it lacks soul’.
Analysing the letter, Ms Trussell said the Duchess was ‘all about producing a polished performance, but it’s very much style over substance – a pseudo sophistication’.
She added: ‘And when someone hides behind a carefully constructed mask, it means that we’ll never really know what’s going on underneath. It’s all a smoke screen.’
Ms Trussell said the ‘laboured penmanship’ conceals ‘underlying feelings of inadequacy and reveals a strong desire to get things right – a perfectionist streak’.
Earlier this week, Meghan shared a sweet montage of pictures to Instagram to celebrate her seventh wedding anniversary with husband Prince Harry – also featuring her famous calligraphy.
The extraordinary photo montage on Instagram featured treasured – and, at times, highly personal – family pictures charting their ‘love story’.

Meghan appears to have handwritten the lyrics of Ben E King’s Stand by Me that was performed at her and Prince Harry’s 2018 wedding

Controversially, Meghan also displayed what appears to be a photo of her coat of arms approved by the late Queen Elizabeth II when she became Duchess upon her wedding in May 2018
One image on the pinboard features her pregnancy bump, while another shows the couple’s son, Prince Archie, kissing his sister, Princess Lilibet.
Other scenes show the family on various holidays, painting in the garden of their €13million Montecito mansion – and even Archie in the womb.
Meghan’s post was accompanied by the Proclaimers tune I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and the caption: ‘Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories.
‘Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story – we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!’
Meghan often used to make montages when she was working as an actress and running a lifestyle blog.
Her latest one charts the couple’s relationship from when they met on a blind date in London in 2016 – where they took a candid selfie – their second date on a trip to Botswana spotting elephants, and a trip the following year to see the Northern Lights in Norway.
It then moves to the couple’s engagement and wedding – including, controversially, given the couple’s acrimonious departure from the royal family, a drawing of Meghan’s coat of arms.
Several private family images include a sonogram of Archie in the womb, and Harry gazing down at him after his birth in May 2019.

Also pinned onto Meghan’s mood board was a photo of Harry and Meghan taken in Norfolk during what appears to be a visit to Holkham Bay – the Sandringham beach frequented by Prince William and Princess Catherine
Others show them on the beach at Norfolk with their dogs, smiling over a birthday cake, and on trips as working royals including in Morocco.
The action then moves to their present-day life in California.
Several notes are written on the board in Meghan’s distinctive cursive script, including the lyrics to Ben E King’s Stand By Me, which was played at their wedding.
Another pinned note says ‘love wins’ – a phrase the pair have often used about their relationship to signify their battles against their perceived enemies.
However, fans noted the former Suits star failed to name Harry in the post.
Despite the post containing numerous photos of Meghan and Harry together, critics took to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss Meghan’s caption.
One of the earliest photos featured on the board showed the Duke and Duchess posing for a selfie taken in London in 2016, when they first started dating.
In the photograph, which is tabbed up as ‘2016’ in ‘London’, Meghan posed in a flannel shirt while Harry stood behind smiling.
There was also a sweet photograph of the couple on their wedding day in 2018, which took place at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
The then-newly minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex were joined by all the leading members of the Royal Family who gathered to celebrate their marriage.

One of the most recent photos tacked on to the board is a sun-soaked snap of Harry and Meghan sharing a sweet kiss while posing in front of palm trees during what appears to be the couple’s most recent getaway to Mexico with their children

Another snap showed a shirtless Harry and Meghan elephant watching during their holiday to Botswana for their second date in 2016

Controversially, Meghan also displayed what appears to be a photo of her coat of arms approved by the late Queen Elizabeth II when she became Duchess upon her wedding in May 2018.
Meghan worked with the College of Arms to design the coat of arms with the aim of representing her and her American roots.
The late Queen signed off on Meghan’s design, which features more detail than the one given to the then-Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.
The blue background of the shield represents the Pacific Ocean off the California coast, while the two golden rays across the shield are symbolic of the sunshine of the Duchess’s home state. The three quills represent communication and the power of words.
The coat of arms also included what is understood to be Meghan’s cypher, or letterhead, featuring the letter ‘M’ with a crown on top.
Beneath the shield on the grass sits a collection of golden poppies, California’s state flower, and wintersweet, which grows at Kensington Palace.
