In Johnson City, Tennessee, the local police department, JCPD, has charged a 91-year-old man with committing several sexual offenses against minors. As per a department statement, the man purportedly assaulted a child at his home back in 2010 and, more recently in June, enticed another child into his residence.

The JCPD said Joseph Luberto, 91, was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of rape of a child and two counts of sexual battery.

The statement mentioned that the investigation initiated by the JCPD’s Special Victims Unit followed an incident report from 2010 where Luberto was accused of attacking a minor at his house.

Additionally, a grand jury has charged Luberto with aggravated sexual battery as a result of a separate inquiry. This investigation found that in late June, Luberto allegedly coaxed a child younger than 13 into his home, as detailed in the statement.

Luberto was transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
