Justice Without a Trial: The Kohberger Plea Deal
Share this @internewscast.com

The death penalty criminal trial was drawing near for the individual accused of murdering four Idaho college students, Ethan Chapin (20), Kaylee Goncalves (21), Xana Kernodle (20), and Madison Mogen (21), during the night, when the state proposed a plea deal to Bryan Kohberger, offering to eliminate the death penalty.

This plea offer has caused a rift among some family members of the victims. According to the terms, Kohberger, aged 30, would plead guilty to all charges relating to the November 2022 stabbings, in exchange for the death penalty being taken off the table.

Once the agreement is finalized, and a gag order is lifted, the details of the victims’ injuries come to light. The grievous nature of their wounds has incited public and familial anger due to the crime’s viciousness.

Allegedly, some of the victims’ family members and friends have expressed that they would not have consented to the plea deal had they been aware of the attack’s brutality.
