Moment Brit stag group is thrown off Ryanair flight by French police

A dramatic video captures the arrest of British stag-party attendees aboard a Spain-bound Ryanair flight after their disruptive conduct necessitated an impromptu stop in France.

Chaotic footage shared on social media captured the scenes on board the Alicante-bound flight on Friday which was forced to divert to Toulouse.

Upon landing officers stormed on to the plane and became embroiled in violent altercations with members of the group.

Passenger Tania Nichols, who shared the gripping footage on TikTok on Sunday, informed the Daily Mail that the group seated near her had been ‘boisterous and misbehaving,’ and noted that ‘even before the flight left the ground, they were switching seats, disregarding basic safety instructions, and moving around the cabin.’

She also recounted an incident where one man changed seats to get closer to her friend, attempting to kiss and cuddle the passenger, only for the cabin crew to swiftly relocate him to his assigned seat.

Once airborne, Nichols described how the group began consuming duty-free alcohol and engaging in loud, unsuitable discussions, audible to young children nearby.

Their unruly actions intensified, yet Nichols observed that the groom seemed to actively avoid partaking in the group’s antics and didn’t appear involved in their behavior.

Nichols reported that a tense altercation arose between two group members at one point, with visible shoving, headbutting, and a torn shirt as others tried to pull them apart.

‘Shockingly, some of the group were seen spitting on seats and putting their feet on passengers’ headrests – one woman was even kicked in the head by a member resting his legs over her seat’.

Cabin crew and fellow passengers apparently attempted to calm the group and several parents requested they watched their language around the children on board.

But this did not stop the spiralling chaos. Following several more disturbances, the pilot announced an unscheduled landing in Toulouse, France.

Upon landing, French police were called on board and began removing the unruly stags.

‘When it became clear that the majority of the group, excluding the stag himself, were being removed from the aircraft, tensions escalated further,’ Nichols said.

In her footage, the leading cop can be seen picking up a man from his chair who follows him with his arms behind his back, before a second passenger follows on.

A third member of the group can then be spotted repeatedly telling an officer ‘no’ as he resisted arrest.

Shouting and swearing at the two cops holding him, he warns them: ‘You’re making a mistake if you’re coming for me’.

As one of the officers eventually gets the passenger in an upright position, they become embroiled in a verbal altercation as his younger son stands up and tells the cops: ‘He didn’t start that, they started it, my dad did not start that’.

While an officer begins to attach handcuffs to the father, the son pleads for someone to help him, yelling: ‘That’s my dad’, before being pulled out of his seat by a cop too.

As he’s guided down the aisle, another man in a tracksuit is restrained and follows his friends off the plane.

‘Throughout the entire ordeal, the cabin crew were absolutely outstanding – remaining calm, professional, and doing everything they could to manage the situation and reassure other passengers,’ Nichols said.

‘They handled an incredibly difficult situation with grace and professionalism, and they deserve to be recognised for their efforts,’ she added.

A spokesperson from Ryanair said: ‘This flight from London Luton to Alicante (26 September) diverted to Toulouse after a small group of passengers became disruptive onboard.

‘Crew called ahead for police assistance, who met the aircraft upon landing at Toulouse Airport and offloaded these passengers before this flight continued to Alicante.

‘Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour, ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a respectful and stress-free environment, without unnecessary disruption.

‘This is now a matter for local police.’
