Cristiano Ronaldo’s fiancée Georgina Rodriguez showcased her giant sparkling engagement ring as she touched down in Venice.

The Argentine-Spanish model, 31, is set to marry the Portuguese footballer, 40, after he popped the question earlier this month. 

Making her first public appearance since her engagement, Georgina joined a host of celebrities flying to northern Italy for the Venice Film Festival, which opened this week.

Arriving in the city on Saturday, Georgina looked effortlessly chic in a brown satin polka dot jumpsuit, featuring a scarf detailing and wrap style.

Georgina paired the jumpsuit with black stilettos and accessorised with Prada sunglasses and a black snake-print patient Hermes handbag. 

She dazzled in her outfit, accessorized by the enormous 30-carat diamond ring, reported to be valued at $3 million, as she posed for photos from a classic boat.

Georgina joined the plethora of celebrities jetting to northern Italy for the Venice Film Festival, which kicked off this week

The couple announced they are set to wed after almost a decade together in an Instagram post last week. 

Confirming their engagement the Latina beauty wrote: ‘Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.’ 

Up until now, Georgina has worn a different diamond ring, but the couple were understood to have not been engaged during this time.

Speculation arose last month about their engagement after the model posted images from a bridal-themed dinner, featuring ‘C heart G’ cushions, a live band, and beautiful white floral displays.

She also wore a giant sparkler on her wedding ring finger, hinting at the pair’s secret engagement.

Georgina and Ronaldo’s celebrity pals congratulated the pair on their engagement in the comments.

Piers Morgan penned: ‘Wonderful news! Many congrats to you both’.

The footballer recently made news admitting he would not ask her to marry him until things were perfect.

He said on Netflix: ‘I always tell her, ‘when we get that click.’ Like everything with our life, and she knows what I’m talking about.

‘It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I’m 1000% sure that it’ll happen.’

Together since 2016, the couple shares two daughters, Alana, seven, and Bella, two. She also acts as stepmother to his other three children.

In an interview for her Netflix reality show I Am Georgina, the model told how she has been teased by friends over when she will get married.

She mentioned: ‘They’re always teasing about the wedding. ‘When is the wedding?’ Ever since Jennifer Lopez’s song ‘The Ring Or When’ played, they started singing it to me. Well, it’s not my decision.’

Even though they aren’t married, Cristiano has frequently referred to Georgina as his ‘wife in the past’. 

In December, at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, he said: ‘It’s a big pleasure to win this trophy. My oldest son is here, my wife [Georgina] is here.’ 

And in a game of Mr. and Mrs. on his YouTube channel back in late August, he gave her the same title.
