This is the shocking moment a stuntman on rollerblades fell 20 feet during a live circus performance, escaping with just a fractured wrist.

Professional skater and performer Lukasz Malewski was doing a stunt at the Flic Flac circus in Duisburg, Germany when the incident happened.

The clip shows Lukasz getting his running take-off badly wrong and falling over before he has even got to a jump over the arena.

The momentum he has built up on the slope however means he takes off on his backside, sending him horizontal.

He is then seen flying high into the rafters in front of a packed audience before coming down – and managing to get one foot onto the landing ramp.

Lukasz desperately tries to grab a hold of the ramp but doesn’t have enough momentum and falls backwards over the precipice.

Spectators can be heard gasping as he drops 20ft to the ground with nothing to break his fall.

Another stunt performer on a scooter had spotted that the jump had gone awry and attempts to break Lukasz’s fall but doesn’t get there in time.

Lukasz discovered he had suffered a fractured wrist in the incident on December 22 after a second trip to hospital.

‘It could have been much worse,’ he said. ‘I have bruised ribs, hip, shoulder. I felt like a car had hit me. But I’m fine, I’m alive.’

When asked what went wrong, Lukasz simply replied: ‘I f*** it up before the take off.’

British stuntman Joe Atkinson was performing with Lukasz when he had his fall.

A spokeswoman for Circus Flic Flac told DPA that the 21 and 22-year-old men could no longer hold themselves up and fell.

They sustained minor injuries and had to be hospitalized.

However, they were able to leave the hospital again in the evening.

‘They are doing well and will be back on stage on Saturday,’ the spokeswoman added.
