Big Brother returned to ITV2 on Sunday with a whole new set of housemates, however a brutal twist meant one would be evicted on night one.

The exciting live launch featured familiar hosts AJ Odudu, 37, and Will Best, 40, as they presented the 16 contestants who would compete for the £100K cash prize.

The original social experiment returned with 12 strangers entering the iconic house where they will spend the next six weeks. 

The 2025 contestants included a transgender personal trainer, a ‘reserved’ farmer, a pizza restaurant worker who adores Dua Lipa, and a Christian who claims to see ‘spirits’.

Here are the new housemates….. 

Name: Gani

Age: 39

From: South London 

Occupation: Pizza restaurant worker 

Dua Lipa fanatic Gani said he would like to ‘known by millions’ and hopes to bring his ‘happy vibes’ to the house.

He explained his potential nomination reasoning further: ‘If I’m triggered, I may raise my voice, and others might think I’m disrespectful. It could also be because I talk too much.’

Name: Cameron

Age: 22

From: Taunton 

Occupation: Farmer 

Cameron described himself as an ‘old soul’ and an ‘introvert’ who was much more at home on his farm tending to his animals.

Boasting a flashy fridge in his tractor he said he hoped his appearance would help fly the flag for British farmers.

He expressed his enthusiasm: ‘I am eager for a completely new adventure. I hope to survive past the initial week and am curious about experiencing an eviction. I’m excited to head into the Diary Room to express my nomination.’

Age: 22

From: Glasgow 

Occupation: Graduate 

Pansexual Nancy was born in Italy but grew up in Glasgow and can speak a whopping five languages, opting for Italian when she wants to flirt.

Asked what she will bring to the house the stunner said: ‘Definitely being Italian, my fiery side. I’m very energetic, always talking, using my hands to talk and do things. I like to get up and dance and sing, I’m very up for that throughout the day’. 

However Nancy admitted that she she can be a ‘bit much’ and ‘very energetic’ which could see her being put up for eviction.

Occupation: PR 

Kooky Caroline made a very dramatic entrance in a white faux fur coat and sequinned cowboy hat but admitted she was more of a ‘loner’ than a ‘social butterfly’ a fact she said would surprise viewers. 

She revealed that her PR business wasn’t doing well after she moved from London to Yorkshire, due to the ‘lack of celebrities up north’.

Asked what she’s spend the prize on Caroline said: ‘I need to get some new patio doors. I need my house painted. I’d like a new front door. I need my shower mended. All the stuff that I’ve neglected while I haven’t had a job’.

Name: Zelah 

Age: 25

From: South London 

Occupation: Personal trainer  

Trans personal trainer Zelah said he hoped his appearance on the show would help show viewers that being transgender was ‘not a choice’. 

He said that he didn’t have a strategy to win but said he’d be ‘holding back his personality’ in a bid to avoid conflict, but said he can become ‘little bit unbearable’ without the gym.

Asked what he’d spend the prize money on, Zelah  said: ‘I’ve had a few thoughts about this – I think the biggest thing would be that I’d contribute towards my business – training LGBT people and women’.

From: Bristol

Occupation: Cleaner 

Teja runs a cleaning company with her mum and said she wouldn’t be shy about holding back when it came to messy housemates. 

Asked what would cause her to receive nominations she said: ‘Probably being loud. I think I’m alright to live with, but I can be a bit loud. I do also say what’s on my mind. If I have a problem I will say’.

Occupation: Political events manager  

Emily is a member of the Conservative Party and said she’d attended a Christmas bash alongside teddy bear Boris Johnson.

The Tory admitted she was gagging for a husband and hoped to find her Mr Right in the iconic Big Brother house. 

When it comes to strategy she admitted: ‘I haven’t really thought about a strategy, although I do think people look at me and think I’m very ditzy because I’ve got blonde hair and fake nails. So, I think that could definitely play to my advantage, because they better watch out! I’m actually a lot cleverer’.

Occupation: Mechanical Engineer 

Marcus appeared as the perfect addition after admitting he likes to ‘stir the pot’ which will no doubt cause drama in the house. 

He said: ‘I’m probably most likely to be nominated for maybe being a bit too energetic, too over the top, too loud. It might become a little bit too much for some people’.

From: Falkirk

Occupation: Butler in the buff business owner 

Flashing his bottom in the VT as the own of a a butler in the buff company, Tate revealed people would be surprised to discover he had a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

Asked why he signed up for Big Brother he said: ‘It was always a bucket list experience. I’ve always wanted to do something like this and I thought it would be a fun story to tell one day. Me being on the show might also potentially help with my business as well’.

From: Essex

Occupation: Content Creator 

Elsa introduced herself to viewers as a Christian who loves the colour pink and can also see dead people.

She said she hoped to bring ‘sunshine and laughter’ to the house but admitted she may rub her fellow housemates up the wrong way with her tantrums. 

Asked what people would be surprised to learn about her, she said: ‘My tomboy side, but I’m not sure if people are going to get to see that in the House. Also, my spiritual side. I’ve recently become religious’.

From: Bradford

Occupation: Zumba Instructor  

Excitable Zumba instructor Sam, who host AJ said had an ‘incredible energy’,  insisted he would get his fellow housemates dancing and doing yoga every morning.

‘I think I’ll bring a lot of fun to the house; I’ll definitely bring a lot of energy’.

From: Derry

Occupation: Make-up artist 

Jenny said following Derry Girls putting her hometown on the map, it was now her turn to do the same. 

‘I think I’m most likely to be nominated for being too honest. Because if you ask for my opinion, you’re going to get it’.
