The officer faces allegations of “inappropriate conduct with students” and is now under investigation by the Office of the Inspector General, as stated by school representatives.
Families and students affected by these events have been informed.
The Chicago Police Department has confirmed that the officer was stripped of his police powers last month, though they declined to specify the reasons.
Chicago Public Schools released a statement underscoring their commitment to student safety and the seriousness with which they treat all reports of employee misconduct. They emphasized that CPS conducts thorough investigations following District policies to ensure secure learning environments. Due to privacy considerations, the District refrains from commenting on active investigations or personnel issues.
