After years of ‘obsessing’ over her looks, Gwyneth Paltrow, 52, is finally ‘letting go of chasing perfection,’ insiders have revealed.
The mother-of-two confidently embraced her age as she showed off her figure in a form-fitting bathing suit during her vacation in Italy on Thursday.
The Hollywood icon, worth roughly $200 million, certainly proved that her body still looks incredible into her sixth decade.
In exclusive photos shared by the Daily Mail, Paltrow was seen highlighting her stunning curves in a black one-piece swimsuit while relaxing on a luxury yacht near the coast of Capri with her husband Brad Falchuk, 54, and actor friend Edward Norton, 55.
An insider told the Daily Mail that the Goop Founder—who announced in April that she had moved away from her once-strict Paleo diet and started enjoying bread, cheese, and pasta again—has embraced a more relaxed approach and chosen to not ‘take herself as seriously anymore.’
‘Gwyneth doesn’t take herself as seriously anymore and has let go of chasing perfection,’ they said.

A source told the Daily Mail this week that the Goop Founder has turned over a new leaf and has decided not to ‘take herself as seriously anymore’

She revealed in April that she had ditched her ultra-strict Paleo diet and had ‘started eating bread, cheese and pasta again’
‘She’s confident in who she is and is enjoying the success she’s worked hard for.’
They added that Paltrow – who shares daughter Apple, 21, and son Moses, 19, with her ex Chris Martin – can relax now that she has reached a stage of her life where her business is a success and her kids are all grown up.
‘In Goop’s early days, [Paltrow] felt she had to embody the brand – flawless health and discipline were part of the package,’ the insider continued.
‘She was essentially the poster child and the creator. She needed to walk the walk.
‘As a single mom after her split from Chris [Martin] a decade ago, she also wanted to model a healthy lifestyle for her kids, with strict routines and clean eating.
‘She wanted them to grow up strong and healthy and felt it was her obligation to be the role model because she knew that this would set the standard for their lives.
‘But her children are now adults, and she’s loosened up. These days, Gwyneth allows herself the occasional indulgence and is very content in her life with Brad.’
Going makeup free in her latest outing, the mom-of-two pulled her long, blonde locks up into a bun as she soaked up the sun in the figure-hugging swimsuit, which she paired with some dark shades.

Later, a radiant Paltrow slipped into a chic, black maxi dress as the group headed to shore for dinner.
She accessorized with some hoop earrings and a classy gold necklace, and held a brown knit patterned purse on her shoulder.
She seemed in great spirits, smiling widely and laughing alongside her husband and friends.
Her former costar Norton was ever the gentleman as he made sure she got off the boat safely.
The Iron Man alum has been vacationing in Italy with Falchuk and a slew of their celebrity friends including Norton and Red Hot Chili Peppers bass player Flea.
The trip comes amid the news that her ex-husband Martin has split from his girlfriend Dakota Johnson after almost eight years together.
Meanwhile, a separate source told the Daily Mail that Paltrow has entered a new ‘phase of life’ and is ‘loving growing older.’
And according to the insider, she hopes she can inspire other women to embrace aging.

They said, ‘One of Gwen’s mission statements with Goop is it comes from a place of curiosity and nonjudgment.
‘For being over 50 years old, she is thriving and loving growing older and is happy to present a healthy lifestyle.
‘If she can help anyone by the way she lives her life, she considers that a win, because she has very limited complaints.’
Paltrow opened up about how she achieves her envious physique back in April on her Goop podcast.
At the time, she confessed that while she had been sticking to the Paleo diet for years, she had now become ‘sick’ of it and had decided to start feasting on more carbs as of late.
The paleo diet is based on foods that people ate during the Paleolithic Era – which dates back to 2.5 million years ago – and includes mostly fruits, vegetables, lean meats, fish, eggs, nuts, and seeds, according to Mayoclinic.
Although its followers boast of benefits including weight loss, a smaller appetite, and more energy, there has been little research into its effects.
‘I went into hardcore macrobiotic for a certain time, that was an interesting chapter where I got obsessed with eating very, very healthily,’ Paltrow explained.
‘I really deepened my connection with food and the whole philosophy around macrobiotics which is essentially just how they eat in the mountains of Japan so very local and seasonal.
‘Lots of fish, vegetables, rice, no diary, no sugar etc. I think that period of time I might have got a little didactical about it.

Paltrow previously confessed that while she had been sticking to the Paleo diet for years, she had now become ‘sick’ of it and had decided to start feasting on more carbs as of late
‘I was just so amazed that we had this power in our hands that if we treated ourselves well and hydrated and ate whole foods that we could just feel so much better. I was sort of intoxicated by that idea and I still feel that way to this day.
‘Things have gotten a little more complicated with me … with inflammation and stuff. It’s the reason Brad and I became Paleo a few years ago now.
‘Although I’m a little bit sick of it, if I’m honest. I’m getting back into eating sourdough bread, cheese – there I said it. A little pasta after being strict with it for so long.
‘But again I think it’s a good template, eating foods that are as whole and fresh as possible. I don’t think there are any doctor or nutritionist that would refute that.’
Back in 2023, Paltrow came under fire after she revealed that she fasts for hours before having a liquid lunch, followed by an early dinner consisting mostly of vegetables.
During an appearance on her dietician Dr. Will Cole’s podcast, she explained that she usually skips breakfast – only consuming things that ‘won’t spike her blood sugar’ in the morning, like coffee – before having her first meal around 12pm, which is often ‘bone broth.’
She also said she tries to do ‘one hour of movement’ per day, whether it’s a walk, Pilates, or a Tracy Anderson class.
