“Hardballing” is when a single person is very upfront from the get go about their expectations when it comes to dating. If you’re not down, then it’s bye-bye, boo. “Honestly, Gen Z, sorry, this is nothing new,” quips host Danica Daniel in this episode of “Under the Covers.” She calls the trend “basically just having radical honesty.”
While the concept might feel novel to the 24-and-under crowd, who grew up “lying” with social media filters, Millennials and Gen X-ers have been hardballing their entire life. “I’m not throwing any softballs, and if you strike out, that’s better for me because that means I have more time to flirt with the umpire,” Daniel says.
