Mingus Lucien Reedus highlighted his defined cheekbones as he departed from Manhattan Criminal Court on Saturday, only hours post-arrest for reportedly assaulting an undisclosed ex-girlfriend.
In court, the 25-year-old son of 90s supermodel Helena Christensen entered a plea of not guilty to five misdemeanor accusations, including third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, reckless physical injury, aggravated harassment, and second-degree harassment.
“The judge’s choice to release Mingus on his own recognizance without bail or supervision is a weighty judicial decision,” Mingus’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry remarked to TMZ on Sunday.
‘Mingus is presumed innocent and has pled not guilty. As the facts emerge, his innocence will become clear.’
Handcuffed, Reedus appeared unkempt, dressed in the same outfit – a black T-shirt, green basketball shorts, and black sneakers – that he wore while being processed at NYPD’s 10th Precinct.
The judge ordered the 6ft3in Society Management model to stay away from the 33-year-old victim and he’s due back in court this Tuesday.

Mingus Lucien Reedus displayed his angular cheekbones as he exited Manhattan Criminal Court on Saturday, hours following his arrest for an alleged attack on his unnamed ex-girlfriend.

During the proceedings, the 25-year-old progeny of 90s supermodel Helena Christensen pleaded not guilty to several misdemeanor charges: third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, reckless physical injury, aggravated harassment, and second-degree harassment.
According to Chaudhry, it was Mingus who called the police at 8:40am to his family’s W. 16th Street apartment in Chelsea when the unidentified woman took sleeping pills in a suicide attempt after he ended their five-month relationship.
Law enforcement alleged Reedus had punched his ex in the leg to wake her up before choking her and slamming her to the ground, and they brought her to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
The woman did not want to press charges nor have an order of protection, and the ex-couple both told the New York Post the incident was all a ‘misunderstanding.’
The Daily Mail has not received a response to its request for comment from reps for Reedus.
This was not the Danish-American’s first brush with the law as he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for allegedly punching a 24-year-old woman during The Feast of San Gennaro back in 2021.
At the time, Mingus claimed he ‘threw his arm out’ to protect himself from her drunk, belligerent friends and accidentally struck her left eye.
Reedus reportedly took a plea deal in 2022 to keep him out of jail, which required just five counseling sessions and one-year probation.
The NYU Tisch grad – who boasts 63K social media followers – currently works as a music producer under the stage name ‘vlucien.’
The 56-year-old Strangelove creative director welcomed Mingus during her five-year relationship with The Walking Dead action star Norman Reedus, which ended in 2003.
The 56-year-old model-turned-actor is also father to six-year-old daughter Nova Tennessee Reedus with fiancée of four years – Diane Kruger – whom he met in 2015 on the set of Fabienne Berthaud’s film Sky.

Mingus’ attorney Priya Chaudhry (R) told TMZ on Sunday: ‘The judge released Mingus on his own recognizance, with neither bail nor supervision. That significant judicial decision amplifies the volume. Mingus is presumed innocent and has pled not guilty. As the facts emerge, his innocence will become clear’
