Home Alone star Devin Ratray reportedly turned himself in and was released on a $25,000 bond
Home Alone star Devin Ratray was arrested on Wednesday on domestic violence charges after he allegedly strangled his girlfriend in an Oklahoma hotel room earlier this month.
Ratray, 44, made a guest appearance at OKC Pop Christmas Con in Oklahoma City with his girlfriend as he was featured as one of the attractions at the two-day event.
The former child actor is best-known for his role as Kevin McCallister’s evil older brother in the 1990 holiday film Home Alone starring Macaulay Culkin.
At the event, he reportedly had gotten angry with his girlfriend while the pair had been drinking at a bar after she didn’t charge two female fans for his autograph.
The fight then continued into the hotel bedroom where he allegedly got violent and tried to strangle her.
Ratray was arrested on Wednesday and is now facing charges of domestic assault and battery by strangulation, as well as domestic assault and battery charges.
A police source revealed that Ratray ‘turned himself in and was processed through and bonded out,’ according to Fox News.
He has since been released from custody after posting a $25,000 bond and denies the allegations.

Ratray (back row center) played Buzz McAllister alongside actors Macaulay Culkin and Catherine O’Hara in Home Alone (1990) and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
Ratray had been with his girlfriend, who remains unnamed, at the convention earlier this month, which took place between December 4-5 at the Wyndham Garden Oklahoma City Airport.
The couple had reportedly been drinking at two different locations with Ratray’s girlfriend claiming he drank a bottle of wine and 10 shoots of liquor.
They had been approached by the fans while at the bar where his girlfriend had reportedly offered them the free autographs without Ratray’s permission.
After they returned to their hotel room at Hyatt Place Oklahoma City, Ratray allegedly pushed her onto the bed before putting one hand on her throat and the other on her mouth.
‘The victim had trouble breathing while she was being strangled and while the defendant’s hand was over her mouth,’ according to an affidavit.
Ratray also allegedly told her: ‘This is how you die’ as he continued to choke her.
His girlfriend then bit Ratray’s hand as she attempted to scream for help.
He then stopped choking her but allegedly began violently punching her afterward.
She then managed to break free from Ratray’s grasp and ran out of the room.
Ratray also allegedly punched her against a desk when she had returned to the room to collect her belongings.

The victim was found with multiple injuries including bruising under her left eye, marks under her right eye, marks above the left side of her lip, a bruise on her chest and a sore arm, according to KFOR.
The pair have since broken up following the violent fight.
Charges were filed against Ratray on Tuesday by Assistant District Attorney Stephanie Powers with the Oklahoma County District Court.
Ratray denied the violent encounter had taken place as he claimed he never put his hands on her.
‘Mr. Ratray denies he ever laid a hand on her or did anything in regards to anything like that,’ Ratray’s attorney Scott Adams said.
‘What we do know happened was the individual he was with and he was from out of town (and) got into a disagreement. She called the police eventually. They showed up at the scene and two patrol officers talked to Mr. Ratray. They talked to the female. They didn’t see anything that they thought was sufficient enough to place him under arrest or take him into custody.’
He reprised his role as Buzz in this year’s Home Sweet Home Alone
Besides his work in the Home Alone series, he was on the TV series Heartland in 1989 and then appeared in Dennis The Menace in 1993 as Mickey.
The star popped up in several TV series such as Third Watch, Law & Order, The Good Wife and Mosaic.
In 2019 he worked with Jennifer Lopez on the stripper film Hustlers. He last acted in the film Kimi with Zoe Kravitz and Erika Christensen.
