In a candid interview that spanned five hours, Hunter Biden expressed his disapproval of open borders and illegal immigration, seemingly criticizing aspects of his father’s presidential policies. Speaking with Shawn Ryan, the 55-year-old delved into a variety of topics, including his father’s withdrawal from Afghanistan and his own financial struggles, admitting to being $15 million in debt.
During the conversation, Hunter Biden questioned his political alignment, pondering, “I don’t even know if I’m a Democrat anymore.” This introspection came as he recognized the challenges in his father’s border policies, acknowledging the issues they present.
“We need a vibrant immigration system, but we don’t want immigrants that are coming here illegally draining us of resources,” he remarked, distancing himself from the pro-immigrant stance often associated with the left during his father’s presidency.
Despite his criticisms, Hunter did offer a defense of his father, highlighting President Biden’s desire for bipartisan legislation to address immigration—a contrast to the executive orders favored by former President Donald Trump.
Hunter explained that although President Biden had reached an agreement with Republicans in Congress, Trump intervened six months before the election, threatening to challenge any Republican who supported the legislation. This intervention, according to Hunter, disrupted potential bipartisan progress on the immigration issue.
Hunter said Biden had an agreement with Republicans in Congress but that Trump ‘stepped in six months before the election and told them that he was going to primary every single one of them that voted for that.’
He described America as being ‘addicted to the problem’ of immigration rather than having an actual desire to solve the problem.
Customs and Border Patrol said last week that the Trump administration has border crossings down 92 percent from the peak of the Biden administration and has gone seven months without a release at the border.

Trump has instituted a number of policies that directly reversed actions taken by President Biden, including resuming the border wall, reinstating the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy and overall increasing deportations.
He’s also brought back several travel bans and put pauses to select green card programs, as well as mass deportation flights taken migrants to Central and South America.
Hunter’s words are a far cry from his expletive-laden tirade against Trump’s border policy in an interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan in July.
He hammered Democrats for not responding better to Trump’s controversial mass deportation plan.
‘All these Democrats say, ‘You have to talk about and realize that people are really upset about illegal immigration,” Biden said.
‘F*** you,’ he responded.
‘How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned? How do you think you have food on your f***ing table? Who do you think washes your dishes? Who do you think does your f***ing garden?’ the former first son continued.
‘Who do you think is here by the f***ing sheer f***ing just grit and will that they figured out a way to get here because they thought that they could give themselves and their family a better chance,’ Biden added.

‘White men in America are 45 more times likely to commit a f***ing violent crime than an immigrant,’ he argued.

In his latest interview, Hunter also admitted his father’s pull-out from the War in Afghanistan was ‘an obvious f***ing failure.’
While he initially blamed ‘the way they executed’ the withdrawal, which killed 13 Marines, he ultimately saw it as his father’s responsibility.
‘I think there was a better way to do it. I can blame it on his generals, the people, the way we did it. But my dad always knew the buck stops with him. That was a failure.’
In addition to the US servicemembers killed, a government watchdog report found that billions of dollars worth of US taxpayer-funded weapons and equipment were left behind in Afghanistan after the 2021 troop withdrawal.
Elsewhere in the interview with Ryan, Hunter confirmed The Daily Mail’s reporting in March that he’s in loads of debt.
‘I’ve been tied up in criminal and civil and in courts and you know, I got, I don’t know $14-15 million in debt that I have no idea that I’m going to be able to pay off,’ he said.
In March, it was revealed that claimed he is too broke to continue a legal battle he launched against his nemesis, ex Trump White House staffer Garrett Ziegler, blaming the Palisades Fire that destroyed his home.
The claim, made by Hunter’s lawyer in a letter to Ziegler’s attorney this week, indicates the former First Son is out of cash, can no longer tap his ‘sugar brother’ Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris for funds, and is not being bailed out by Democrat donors.

Hunter’s $15,800-per-month Malibu rental was razed by the Palisades Fire that swept through an entire neighborhood on January 7.
The former first son had borrowed at least $7million from wealthy Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris to repay his multi-million-dollar tax debts, finance his lavish lifestyle, and foot his burgeoning legal bills.
But that deep well reportedly dried up last year ahead of Hunter’s criminal prosecutions for gun and tax crimes that led to felony convictions, forgiven by his father in his final weeks in office.
He told Ryan that ‘nobody’s riding to the rescue for Hunter Biden,’ including his father.
‘My dad, you know, entered the the presidency as the poorest man to ever take the office and he left the presidency, you know, not poorest, I mean, he’s fine, but you know, we have no generational wealth,’ he said.
Hunter added that there’s ‘no billions of dollars buried underneath my dad’s house in Delaware.’
Later on in the chat, Hunter continued to lob insults at Jake Tapper and George Clooney what he sees as their role in getting his dad to quit the 2024 presidential race.
‘I get so angry and I find that the things that I get angry about are from the perspective of a son,’ he said.

Hunter added that he ‘really went off’ on Clooney and Tapper and the hosts of liberal podcast Pod Save America ‘because I think they’re a bunch of f***ing arrogant f***s.’
‘I think that Jake Jake Tapper is a pompous, arrogant f***,’ he said.
Hunter recounted the now infamous story of nearly getting into a fight with Tapper at the Super Bowl amid a series of contentious moments with the CNN anchor.
He remains furious at Tapper for his book, co-written with Alex Thompson, about the alleged cover-up of President Biden’s failing health while in office.
‘I mean, you know, he talks big, hides behind a pen in a desk, and and I don’t think that he contributes in any way to the to the discourse or provides any real journalism whatsoever.’
Hunter had previously slammed Clooney in the July interview with Callaghan after the actor penned a New York Times op-ed pushing for President Biden to quit his re-election campaign.
‘F*** him, f*** him and everybody around him,’ the former first son said of Clooney, as he discussed the actor’s decision to pen the op-ed that insinuated that the Democratic president was senile.
‘I agree with Quentin Tarantino, F***ing George Clooney is not a f***ing actor. He is a f***ing, like, I don’t know what he is. He’s a brand,’ Biden continued. ‘And by the way, and God bless him you know what, he supposedly treats his friends really well, you know what I mean, buys them things. And he’s got a really great place in Lake Como and he’s great friends with Barack Obama. F*** you, what do you have to do with fucking anything?’

In the op-ed, Clooney said of the president that ‘the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time.’
The actor had seen Biden at a June 15, 2024 fundraiser in Los Angeles ahead of Biden’s disastrous June 27 debate in Atlanta. In the op-ed, Clooney divulged that the Biden he saw at the fundraiser was the same one who appalled Democratic voters on the debate stage.
‘This is about age. Nothing more,’ Clooney wrote. ‘We are not going to win in November with this president.’
The president’s debate performance against President Donald Trump had heightened calls for the 81-year-old to drop out, with Clooney’s op-ed published less than two weeks later.
Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race 11 days after Clooney’s op-ed went live.
Hunter has slowly granted more public-facing interviews since his father left office and since he was given a presidential pardon.
The bombshell decision saw Hunter pardoned for any crimes he may have committed ‘from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024’.
But critics claimed the broadly written pardon was an attempt to cover-up his actions on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma.
