TERRIFYING footage of the Tennessee quadruple murder suspect has been released as internet sleuths try to decipher the meaning behind a hand gesture he made.

Last week, four members of the same family were killed in Tennessee as a 7-month-old baby was left inside of a car seat in a driveway.

The case has gained national attention after the manhunt for Austin Robert Drummond, who was captured on Tuesday morning following a week-long evasion.

The victims were identified as the baby’s parents, Matthew Wilson, 21, and Adrianna Williams, 20; the child’s grandparent, Cortney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams, 15, the baby’s uncle.

The baby was around 40 miles of where the bodies were found, police said.

In footage taken on Aug. 3, the alleged suspect is seen sneaking behind a building, gesturing a wave, and attempting to open several doors.

“It was a pretty unsettling moment to think that this guy that they’re looking for just walked through, right through my yard,” resident Ray Condray told CBS affiliate WBBJ-TV.

The suspect was wearing a camouflage sweatshirt and carrying a black rifle and a backpack as he prowled in the person’s yard.

After the footage was released, internet sleuths worked to dissect one point where the suspect looks over and seemingly makes a hand gesture.

“Looks like He’s signaling to someone else that seems to be out there with him,” one Facebook user wrote.

“Did he look like he was talking to someone or was it just me,” another commented.

Some pointed out that there appears to be a white car in the direction of where the man in the video looked.

“Someone for sure in or beside the car,” a commenter said.

“Looks like the hand signal was telling somebody to go back behind him or either watch behind him.”

“Did he give a sign to the vehicle in the background,” another posted.

Drummond allegedly has ties to Chicago’s Vice Lords, a street and prison gang which some commenters theorized could explain the gesture.

Quadruple murders timeline

Tuesday, July 29: A seven-month-old baby girl was found abandoned in a car seat in the front yard of a residence in Tigrett, Dyer County, Tennessee, at around 3 pm.

Hours later: Four individuals were found dead in Lake County approximately 40 miles from where the baby was located.

Wednesday, July 30: Investigators identify the victims as:

  • Matthew Wilson, 21, (the baby’s father)
  • Adrianna Williams, 20 (the baby’s mother)
  • Cortney Rose, 38, (the baby’s grandmother)
  • Braydon Williams, 15, (the baby’s maternal uncle)

Thursday, July 31: The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation name Austin Drummond, 28, as a suspect in the quadruple homicide.

Friday, August 1: Cops locate Drummond’s damaged Audi A3 abandoned on a road in Jackson. Tanaka Brown has been arrested and is accused of being an accessory to first degree murder after the fact and tampering with evidence.

Saturday, August 2: Agents arrest second man Giovontie Thomas for accessory to first degree murder after the fact. They also locate a Ford pick up truck believed to be connected to Drummond in Dyer County.

Monday, August 4: Dearrah Sanders is the third person to be arrested and charged for accessory to first degree murder after the fact.

Jackson cops also release surveillance footage of Drummond, wearing camouflaged gear, stalking a neighborhood and trying to get into a church building.

Tuesday, August 5: Drummond taken into custody after being captured in Jackson. He was arrested after cops issued a shelter-in-place order following a suspected sighting.

“[H]e just gave a gang sign to someone,” one posted underneath the police video.

“That gesture looked almost like a gang gesture,” another commented.

Since the slayings, police have arrested three other suspects for allegedly helping Drummond on the run.

Officials were offering a $32,500 reward for information leading to his arrest, and were unsure if he was still in the state.

Photos of the capture show Drummond sweaty and dazed as officers hold on to either side of him.

Drummond has a lengthy criminal record, and was just released after serving 13 years in prison for armed robbery and retaliation charges.

The 28-year-old was let out of jail in September, and was charged with attempted murder in December for an alleged incident that happened while in jail.

He was out on bail at the time of the murders.
