A WOMAN was left scratching her head after her new TV vanished just minutes after it was delivered.

Christina Shearer had just received a notification from Walmart informing her of the successful delivery and went over to collect it.

However, when she arrived at the door step, the TV had mysteriously disappeared.

The retail giant courier snapped a picture of the Tennessee native’s new item just minutes after it was delivered.

“I opened the door and I go outside and there’s nothing,” she told ABC 7.

“And I’m like, ‘Okay, well maybe maybe we put it on the side of the house.’

“So, I’m running down there looking on the side of the house.

“Nothing. And I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ And I’m just walking back up the house. And I’m like, ‘What happened?'”

Christina suggested to her boyfriend that she may have been snared by porch pirates.

She continued: “And I went into my room and I just boohoo cried.

“Because I was like, ‘Why would this happen to me?

“Like what did I do to deserve this?’ I was literally trying to buy this TV for a year and a half.”

Christina scrambled to pore through doorbell camera footage, which shows the delivery men bringing the TV to the doorstep.

In a second video, however, the same men are seen returning the gadget to their truck parked further down the street.

The couple phoned the Wilson County sheriff, who arrived to inspect the footage with them.

“I think the delivery person took it,” Shearer alleged.

“And so the sheriff looked at the same videos and he was like, that’s what it’s looking like.

“I was just like, ‘Oh, great. Wonderful.’ So it was just like it happened so fast, so fast, and I was like what now?”

Christina then called up the retailer, who subcontract deliveries with courier service Roadie.

Walmart were then able to source the driver, who spoke to Shearer over the phone.

“Why are you being such an ungrateful b**** or something like that,” Shearer claimed he said to her.

“And I flipped out. I was like, what? I was like, ‘You just stole my TV. I’m not being ungrateful.

“I want the product that I ordered.'”

Following the shocking exchange, Christina was left open-mouthed when Walmart reportedly told her they were not responsible for the theft.

“So basically, Walmart’s like, we’re done,” Shearer claimed.

“You got her stuff, that’s not our problem, So I was like, ‘What am I supposed to do with that?’

“You would think that a billion dollar company has insurance for these purposes.

“Because you know, not everybody is honest.”

The U.S Sun has reached out to Walmart and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office for comment.

What are porch pirates?

Porch pirates are known as people who steal packages from the front porch of people’s homes.

This act is popular even more so during the holidays as people are ordering gifts for loved ones.

People are also typically expecting their orders from Black Friday and Cyber Monday to arrive.

Even with new technology like security cameras and Ring doorbell cameras people are still vulnerable to porch pirates.

How do I avoid being a victim of porch pirates?

As the act of stealing packages off the front porch increases during this time of year, it is important to know how to prevent being a victim of them all year long.

Franklin County police chiefs shared their tips to avoid porch pirates to The Columbus Dispatch.
