JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — On Tuesday, the Johnson City Police Department (JCPD) announced that Raekwon Grimes, the suspect in a recent shooting, voluntarily surrendered at their headquarters at approximately 3 p.m.

The 25-year-old Grimes faces accusations of repeatedly shooting an individual at the Waffle House located on North State of Franklin Road during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The JCPD’s official statement reveals that Grimes faces charges of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is set to be transferred to the Washington County Detention Center shortly.
