JSO: 2 men die after being found shot in shopping plaza on Baymeadows Road

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says all parties involved in the incident are “believed to be accounted for.”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Early on Saturday morning, two men were discovered dead from gunshot wounds at a shopping plaza on Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

According to JSO Sgt. Robbie Henson, patrol officers were called to the shopping plaza situated in the 9500 block of Baymeadows Road at 3:20 a.m. in response to a reported shooting.

Henson said when officers arrived at the scene, the men were both found with multiple gunshot wounds.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department personnel arrived at the location and attempted “life-saving measures,” but despite their efforts, they were not successful, said Henson.

“At this time, all parties involved in this incident are believed to be accounted for,” Henson said.

Henson further told First Coast News that “the circumstances of the incident or the relationships of those involved” is currently unknown.
