Sasha Obama and her older sister Malia Obama are fast establishing themselves as the ‘It Girls’ of Los Angeles. 

The former first daughters – who are the children of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama – have been seen at a series of high-profile events since relocating to the west coast. 

Malia, 26, moved to the city in 2021 to pursue a screenwriting career, while her sister Sasha, 23, followed in 2022 to complete her senior year at the University of Southern California.

Since then, the sisters seem to have fully embraced LA life, forming friendships with celebrities and mingling with stars, while disregarding persistent rumors about their parents experiencing marital issues.

Earlier this week, the siblings were seen attending singer Destin Conrad’s Love on Digital album listening party in the city.

At the event, Sasha showed off her toned physique in a cropped white tank top and low-rise denim jeans.

With her midriff on full display, she oozed cool girl as she posed with for a snap with older sister Malia and Florida-born R&B artist Destin, 24.

Last July, Malia was once again snapped partying, this time at LA’s iconic Chateau Marmont with famous friends.

Also in attendance at the esteemed residence was singer Kim Petras and Ray Nicholson, the son actor Jack Nicholson.

In September 2023, Malia had been spotted out in LA enjoying a dinner date with rapper Anime.

They were caught leaving a sushi restaurant together side-by-side and, at one point, interlocking their arms. It led to rumors of a romance but it seems any such link was short lived.

Dressed in all black, the Harvard graduate donned a cropped turtleneck and a leather jacket – which left her midriff on full display.

Anime – who is best known for his hit 2016 single Caroline – opted for a bright green long-sleeve shirt and baggy jeans.

Malia had been a longtime fan of his music, and he told i-D magazine in 2017 that she had requested to meet him after she attended one of his performances at Lollapalooza music festival.

Cut forward to October 2024, and Malia and Sasha were seen exiting another party: Billie Eilish’s Halloween bash held at the exclusive Bird Streets nightclub in West Hollywood.

The sisters opted for a fashionable cowboy theme: Malia rocked thigh-high black boots to match her black cowboy hat, a denim skirt and white tank-top. Her statement piece was a fake snake wrapped around her shoulders.

A temporary barbwire-styled tattoo was also placed around her upper arm.

Sasha, meanwhile, looked fierce in a leather trench and a baby blue cropped tee-shirt. Over the tee, she seemed to be wearing a cowboy-styled brown vest.

Among other high-profile guests at the party were model Kaia Gerber, singer The Kid LAROI, and Eilish’s brother Finneas with his girlfriend Claudia Sulewsk.

Once again, the duo was seen at the popular celebrity hotspot The Bird Streets Club as the rapper hosted an after-party following his sold out show with 21 Savage.

University of Southern California graduate Sasha looked fashionable in a tiny, black crop top that left her midriff on full display and baggy, gray pants.

Her older sister opted for a very-revealing lace-up brown top and high-waisted floral sheer pants, which she paired with a chic clack handbag and platform boots.

When the sisters left the elite members-only club at 4 in the morning, it seemed as though they had certainly had a good time.

Malia attempted to cover her face from the photographers as the two made their way to a waiting car surrounded by their friends.

The previous year, in April 2022, it was revealed that Sasha had found love with then-boyfriend Clifton Powell Jr, the son of Ray actor Clifton Powell and a former college basketball star who now works as a commercial director creating content for brands like Nike and Peloton.

Clifton was also close friends with Ian Alexander Jr. – the only son of Powell’s Ray co-star Regina King, who tragically took his own life in January at age 25.
