Is Leigh Sales really Leaving ABC TV 7:30? Why? Rumor or Truth about Her resignation

Time to pass the baton.” Leigh Sales announces she’s leaving ABC’s 7.30

Regular viewers of ABC’s 7.30 Report would have assumed a night of regular programming. But quite the shock for many, Leigh Sales ended the episode by announcing that she is leaving 7.30 once the Federal Election is over.

“Anchoring a nightly news show has been a marathon …and it has been a daily sprint. There’s nothing wrong, other than I just feel it being the time to pass on the baton to the next runner.

She mentioned that when she started the show that she wasn’t a mother, but now she is, and she wants to be back home with her boys. A statement that we’re sure rings true to many parents attempting the balancing act of work life and family life.

You can see her full statement from the 7.30 Report, right here:

But it’s not over for Sales’ career. She closed her statement by saying, “I’m looking forward to seeing what I do next at the ABC,” noting that she won’t be disappearing from our screens completely.

In fact, she’ll be staying until after the election, so we can look forward to her coverage of the political event.

Why hasn’t Leigh Sales been On TV: Health Update

The reason Leigh Sales ISN’T on TV: Triple-vaxxed ABC anchor reveals she has Covid – and was attacked by a RODENT while she slept in her bed

ABC anchor Leigh Sales’ return to the 7.30 host chair has been delayed a little longer after the triple vaccinated host tested positive to Covid and was bitten by a mouse.

Sales’ absence from the airwaves has been conspicuous in recent days with political editor Laura Tingle filling in as anchor of the current affairs show.

Speaking on an Instagram video – and smiling at how strange it sounded – Sales told followers by saying she’s had a gorgeous summer break’, but then says ‘two unusual things happened to her in the past few days.
