Teen charged with murder after man found dead during house party

A teenage boy has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in Brisbane overnight.

Authorities responded to a call at an apartment complex in Clayfield around 8:15 pm yesterday, where they discovered a 58-year-old man deceased at the location.

A sizable gathering of teenagers was present at the scene.

Officials reported that the teenagers were hosting a party, whereas the man’s body was located on the upper level of the building.

A 15-year-old boy, who police say was known to the dead man, was found in Barlow Street and taken into custody.

He has now been charged with one count of murder.

It’s understood it was the 15-year-old who called Triple Zero.

The teen has been refused police bail and will appear in court today.
