This comes ahead of President Trump’s state visit to the UK on Tuesday next week.
Trump and his wife Melania, were previously hosted by the Royal Family in 2019, under the reign of the late Queen.
During their trip overseas, the First Lady of the United States and Princess of Wales will visit a Scout troop.
Kate, 43, will join Melania Trump, 55, at Frogmore Gardens in the Home Park at Windsor Castle to meet chief scout Dwayne Fields and members of the Scouts’ Squirrels programme on Thursday.
There, the Princess – who has been Joint President of the Scouts since 2020 – and Mrs Trump will learn about the Squirrels’ Go Wild nature badge, awarded to inquisitive youngsters who care about the natural world. It’s part of a comprehensive schedule of events detailed by Buckingham Palace today ahead of the state visit, which begins on Tuesday and runs until the end of Thursday.
Though exactly whom the Trumps will be greeted by on Tuesday evening as they arrive remains to be seen – after the US Ambassador, Lord Mandelson, was sensationally asked to step down today due to his links with Jeffrey Epstein.
Mr and Mrs Trump were due to be greeted by Lord Mandelson and Viscount Hood, Lord-in-Waiting, on behalf of the King.
