A MAGA fan is suing two gyms for $150,000 after he was allegedly banished for wearing a Trump 2024 hat.

But fed-up gymgoers have accused the fitness fanatic of being rude and aggressive.

Michael Green, a dedicated supporter of Donald Trump, aged 42, has filed two lawsuits against gym owners in Wisconsin for allegedly infringing on his civil rights by evicting him from their facilities.

He is seeking $75,000 in damages from Argent Companies, which operates Anytime Fitness in Monana, and an additional $75,000 from Fitness Ventures LLC, the proprietor of Crunch Fitness in Madison.

According to court records, Green’s claims for compensation are based on his assertion that both gyms discriminated against him because he is “an African-American Trump supporter.”

He lodged both lawsuits within weeks of each other in March after receiving two visits from the cops while working out at the gyms.

An angry Green told The Independent newspaper on Wednesday that he believed he was targeted after donning a “Trump 2024″ hat.

He said that he had stopped wearing the hats to the gym, as “I’m not a cult follower.

“But they [gymgoers and staff] had already pegged me as a Trump guy.”

He was evicted from Anytime Fitness in early February, when officers from the Madison Police Department visited him at the gym to tell him “while in the bathroom changing out of my exercise attire” that his gym membership was being canceled.

Weeks later, while exercising at his new gym Crunch, cops were called by staff to help evict him from the premises after he allegedly “screamed and cursed” at other members trying to work out.

The police said in a statement that cops had been called to Crunch due to a gym member allegedly “causing a disturbance.”

A spokeswoman added that police attended the incident as a man had “reportedly approached other gym members and screamed and cursed at them in an attempt to get them to stop using their exercise equipment.”

The force has not laid any charges against Green, with the spokeswoman adding, “The case is closed on our end.”

WORE MAGA GEAR

Court records show that on March 13, 2025, Green lodged a lawsuit against Argent Companies after buying a membership at its Anytime Fitness gym in Monona, Dane County, last November.

He said in his lawsuit that while exercising at Anytime Fitness, he would “generally show my support of our president by wearing different types of Trump apparel such as hats, bookbags, tee shirts, etc.

“I would generally ignore the reactions and comments such as me being a ‘disenfranchised’ black guy that voted for Trump, they would be sarcastic and condescending.”

Statement from Madison Police Department

A spokeswoman for the police department sent this response:

“On March 30, our team was dispatched to the Crunch Fitness on Mineral Point Road.

“An employee called to report a gym member causing a disturbance and asked to have officers nearby when the gym member would be asked to leave.

“Officers were told the man had reportedly approached other gym members and screamed and cursed at them in an attempt to get them to stop using their exercise equipment.

“These gym members did not wish to press charges, but asked the manager to have the man removed from the facility.

“The manager called for police with assistance on this given the disturbance.”

She added: “The case is closed on our end.”

He further alleged, “In the last week of January [2025] I left my Trump hat hanging up on one of the hangers, when I came back to get it my hat was damaged and some kind of liquid was poured on it.

“My patience was wearing thin.”

Green said he wanted $75,000 from Argent as he alleged the firm “has aggressively violated title II of the civil rights act. $75,000 may be enough to deter such future actions.”

The U.S. Sun has contacted Argent for comment on the lawsuit and Green’s allegations.

Officers were told the man had reportedly approached other gym members and screamed and cursed at them in an attempt to get them to stop using their exercise equipment.

Spokeswoman, Madison Police Department

In the second lawsuit, which Green lodged with the U.S. District Court on March 31, 2025, he accused Crunch owners Fitness Ventures LLC of “violating the Civil Rights Act by engaging in discriminatory practices at one of their gyms. This suit is for $75,000.”

Green’s lawsuit said he had “no clue” as to why he was evicted from Crunch on March 30.

It alleged, “I’m thinking someone at the gym had a perceived issue with me and decided to weaponize the police against me.

“I had been wearing a pro Trump hat during prior gym visits but stopped due to the stares I would get from staff and members.”

The document also alleged that cops confronted him while he was “drenched in sweat” at Crunch.

AGGRESSIVE

His lawsuit claimed, “On March 30th 2025 while exercising at Crunch Fitness in Madison I was approached by a staff member and two Madison Police officers.

“The staff member said that I was being ‘aggressive’ to gym members.

“I still have no clue what exactly is going on, the staff member was extremely vague.

“I was drenched in sweat so I asked If I could use the shower before I left, the staff member told me I could not so I went into the locker room to change clothes as quickly as I could.

“Upon leaving the locker room I was confronted by 6-10 Madison Police officers, I asked them what was going on, they explained they were called to make sure I left the premises. I left as instructed.”

PRO-TRUMP

His lawsuit against Crunch further alleged in regards to the eviction, “I had been wearing a pro-Trump hat during prior gym visits but stopped due to the stares I would get from staff and members.

“Perhaps it was some kind of retaliation for being a Trump supporter, even worse a black Trump supporter in Dane County.”

The U.S. Sun has contacted Crunch and Fitness Ventures LLC for comment on his allegations.

Michael Green has also been contacted for further comment on his lawsuits.
