Rusty Bowers Jan 6 Testimony On Trump Campaign

The House committee investigating the pro-Trump mob attack on the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has begun to share its findings after 11 months and over 1,000 interviews. The hearing on Tuesday is the fourth of this month.

Donald Trump and other members of his party persuaded Arizona House Speaker Russell “Rusty” Bowers, a Republican, to refuse to accept the results of the 2020 election in Arizona. Bowers is anticipated to be the panel’s first witness on Tuesday, January 6.

Bowers is being questioned by the committee about the pressure he received from President Trump and his associates to alter the results of Arizona’s presidential election in 2020.

According to washingtonpost.com, the hearing on Washington is scheduled to begin Eastern time at 1 p.m. and is designed to highlight state and local officials who resisted pressure from Trump and those around him.

One of the witnesses for votes to flip the election in the state includes Arizona state House Speaker Russell “Rusty” Browers.

The hearing is mainly focused on the pressure campaign applied by Trump, his campaign, and his allies on state and local election officials.

Browers, 70, decided to stand firm against Trump which put him in the ire of former president supporters. Bowers confessed that he was surrounded by protestors in his house and charged him with a pedophile. He was condemned by the state’s right-wing Patriot Party for not supporting an audit of the 2020 election.

The fifth hearing, headed by Reps. Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), will take place on Thursday and will detail how Trump attempted to maintain control by installing a close ally.
