The Philadelphia Eagles legend has been on a staggering weight loss journey since retiring

Kelce previously revealed he had trimmed down to 270 pounds after weighing 295 while on the field for the Eagles.

A fan complimented him on his noticeably slimmer figure during the 2025 Truist pro-am back in May.

‘You’ve lost a little weight,’ they said in a video shared by the PGA Tour, to which Kelce replied: ‘I’m trying.’

In March, Kelce discussed his weight loss aspirations with his brother Travis on their New Heights podcast, revealing a goal to shed 35 pounds.

To reach this goal, Kelce has intensified his efforts. On Wednesday’s New Heights episode, he shared his decision to compete with former teammate Beau Allen in a body fat reduction challenge.

To ensure fairness in their competition, he underwent his first bone density scan, discussing the results with Travis.

‘There’s a lot of fat in there!’ Jason remarked humorously on the podcast, ‘It’s a bit embarrassing to see your body mapped out like this. But to be honest, I think my calf-to-hamstring ratio is pretty good.’

‘I’m 276.6 [lbs], according to this scan,’ he continued, revealing his weight.

‘You’ve already lost 30 pounds? That’s incredible,’ Travis commented, prompting Jason to clarify, ‘No, I’ve lost 20 pounds, and I never weighed more than 300 in the NFL.’

‘Lean mass, 207 pounds of muscle. 58.7 pounds of fat… that’s a lot of fat,’ he continued. ‘According to this metric, it is exactly 21.2 percent body fat.’

‘We’ve got to get that down,’ Travis, who confirmed this offseason that he would be avoiding retirement and suiting up for the Kansas City Chiefs again next season, insisted.

But Jason was already one step ahead of his tight end brother, having devised his friendly challenge with Allen.

‘This is why you’re still playing football because when you retire you have to do stupid competitions like this to keep your sanity,’ Jason told the three-time Super Bowl winner. ‘So Beau and I are going to try to lose as much body fat percentage as possible in three months.’

He also discussed his weight loss journey with GQ last year when he claimed that he was already feeling the benefits.

‘Right now, I’m about 277,’ he said in June 2024. ‘… It’s hard to imagine another nearly 20 pounds coming off, being honest with you. But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better. So another 20 pounds hopefully will make that much more adept at playing with my children.’

‘I don’t want to get too small,’ the soon-to-be-father-of-four added. ‘I think a lot of guys, especially offensive linemen, they lose too much weight, and then they look like bobbleheads because their neck gets so small, but their head stays the same size.

‘So for me, I feel like for some reason, 250 to 260 feels like I’ll be still big and be happy with the way I look without having a six-pack. But I’ll still be able to have that stature a little bit.’
