Recently unveiled documents have disclosed that Jeffrey Epstein contributed $15,000 to ensure Woody Allen’s daughter completed her education at an upscale private school in New York City.
The files, which were released by the Justice Department, reveal a conversation where 90-year-old Allen discussed with Epstein the specifics of a $15,000 contribution to The Hewitt School, a private institution his daughter attended, to secure her graduation.
According to documents accessed by the Daily Mail, Allen and Epstein deliberated over the logistics of the donation. On December 14, at approximately 5:30 PM, Allen conveyed to Epstein, “Please allocate the entire 15 to Hewitt.”
Allen further explained, “As Woody mentioned, this action ensures that Manzie will indeed graduate.”
At the time, Manzie, Allen’s adopted daughter, was 16 years old and a student at the prestigious all-girls K-12 school located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, where the current tuition stands at $67,700.

Hours later at around 11pm, Allen messaged back and confirmed that the money had been sent.
‘I just got home and found the contribution,’ Allen wrote. ‘You’re the best. It made my day. I can’t thank you enough. The schools never have enough money. This will help them with their expansion.’

In 2019, the 500-student school confirmed they had received the donation but told the Associated Press that they gave the money back after learning of its connection to Epstein.
Epstein’s connection to the school at the time was unclear, but the latest emails reveal Allen pushing for the donation from Epstein. Manzie then graduated from the prestigious school in 2018.
Other large donations were also revealed around 2019, including Epstein’s gift of $35,000 to the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Maryland, and $25,000 to the Ecole du Bel-Air grade school in Haiti.
Allen’s connections with Epstein were further revealed in the files, as efforts to help his other daughter were shown.
Emails showed the President of Bard College and longtime acquaintance of Epstein, Leon Botstein, helped Manzie’s older sister, Bechet, get into Bard.
At the time, Bechet was a student at another private K-12 school, Brearley, looking to attend the private liberal arts college.
‘I can’t thank you enough for getting Bechet into Bard,’ Allen wrote, adding in an additional message that it would be ‘best that Bechet struggles’ and wasn’t aware of Epstein’s interference.
‘I think it’s best that Bechet struggles and doesn’t know ahead of time that she got in so that when she gets into Bard she will have sweated it out a bit and will really want to go,’ he said, according to documents.

In a statement to the New York Times, Botstein accused Epstein of being a ‘serial liar who apparently took credit for the sun rising each day.’
‘The applicant referenced in the emails was accepted on the merits of her own qualifications for admission,’ the statement said.
‘Bard had already provided a welcome community for two previous family members, and no introduction was needed from the likes of Epstein.’
