Jesinta Franklin had a rough time undergoing mandatory hotel quarantine earlier this year.

She finally left quarantine in Queensland with her kids and reunited with her AFL star husband Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin in the Covid-safe AFL bubble in Victoria in August, after the family spent six weeks apart in total.

And the 30-year-old has admitted that she found the experience rather traumatic.

‘I am not the same person, I am honestly not. It was wild. I actually had two huge panic attacks in there,’ she told The Daily Telegraph

‘I had a mountain of dirty nappies in the bin. We had no fresh air. We had loud speakers in the room that would announce every time a meal was coming which would wake the kids up.

‘It was like being in a very un-fun Big Brother. Fire alarms went off at midnight,’ she described.

‘When I was in there I put so much energy into being positive, so when I got out, I was exhausted,’ Jesinta added.

The model had flown up and completed hotel quarantine with daughter Tullulah, one, and young bub Rocky, six months, with the intention of joining the Swans and Giants in their Queensland pods.

But she, along with over 100 other WAGs and family members, faced disappointment after Queensland’s Delta outbreak and announcement of a three-day lockdown that saw the Sydney teams uprooted for a third time.

Jesinta shared several updates during her time in quarantine, posting images to Instagram in which she washed dishes in the bathroom sink, had dinner and did laundry in the bathtub.

In one post she admitted she was exhausted after the trip, writing, ‘I’m cooked.’

‘We are going to have some amazing stories to tell Lulu and Rocky ! I’m taking so many pics and videos to show them when they’re older,’ she said in another post.

Jesinta reunited with Buddy, after almost seven weeks apart, in early August.

Jesinta told The Herald Sun at the time she and her family were about to hop on a flight to Melbourne, where the Swans were expected to stay all season following Queensland’s Covid-19 outbreak.

‘It’s day by day and the whole thing has changed so many times, but we’re hoping to get out,’ she said.

‘It’s been tough but it’s just the reality of the world we’re living in at the moment. Not only me and what all the other Swans and GWS players’ partners have to do, but thousands of Australians,’ she added.
