Joe Rogan has celebrated Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s crusade to eradicate ‘wokeness’ and fat troops from the military.

During a Tuesday episode of his podcast featuring The Red Clay Strays, a country rock band, Joe Rogan shared support for a new direction in the armed forces.

Andrew Bishop, the band’s bassist, mentioned a recent gathering of officers in Quantico, Virginia, where Pete Hegseth announced stricter physical fitness standards.

Rogan said he supported that ‘no more identity politics and bulls***’ will be distracting from military objectives.

Rogan remarked on Hegseth’s comments prior to the podcast, stating, ‘The priority is to be ready and ensure we have the most effective military possible with the resources we currently have.’

Having interviewed and endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 election, Rogan criticized Joe Biden’s initiatives to make the military more inclusive for women and the LGBT community.

‘Over the past four years, you witnessed the chaos,’ he noted. ‘Having inclusivity trump everything in the military is absurd.’ Rogan was referencing changes where men in dresses emphasized inclusivity.

He also discussed Sam Brinton, a prior Energy Department official under Biden, who was the first openly genderfluid individual in federal service.

Brinton, though not affiliated with the Department of Defense, was charged in three different states for allegedly stealing women’s clothing from their luggage at airports.

Brinton was fired in December 2022, just three months into the job, after these alleged bouts of kleptomania were being widely reported in the media.

‘That guy was in charge of like f***ing nuclear waste and he’s running around stealing people’s underwear … with lipstick and a bald head,’ Rogan said.

Rogan’s comments about the ongoing tone shift in the US government came as Hegseth laid down the law with senior military officials.

Speaking at Marine Corps Base Quantico Hegseth said that America’s enemies would ‘FAFO’, which stands for ‘f*** around and find out,’ if they chose to challenge its military might.

‘From this moment forward the only mission of the newly restored Department of War is this: war fighting, preparing for war and preparing to win,’ Hegseth continued, saying, however, that they do not wish for war, touting their ‘strength through peace’ motto.

Hegseth who said he was ‘tired of seeing fat troops’ said that they would now need to attain a male standard of fitness to continue serving. He also said these new rules are ‘not about preventing women from serving’.

‘If women can make it, excellent, if they cannot — then so be it … it will also mean that weak men won’t qualify. This is combat.’

Hegseth said standard training guidelines will be restored ‘to what it should be — scary, tough disciplined,’ and one where drill sergeants ‘can put their hands on recruits.’

‘Frankly, it’s tiring to look out at combat formations, or really any formation, and see fat troops,’ he said. ‘Likewise, it’s completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon leading commands around the country and the world.’

‘It’s a bad look. It is bad, and it’s not who we are,’ he continued.

Hegseth slammed the political softening of the armed forces, including concerns over bullying and hazing, and wokeness.

‘No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses, no more climate change worship, no more division, distraction or gender delusion, no more debris. I’ve said before and will say again, we are done with that s***,’ he said.

Hegseth also issued new policies that would overhaul the Inspector General’s office and the department’s equal employment opportunity office, overhauling a process that he said has been ‘weaponized’.

‘No more anonymous complaints, no more repeat complainants, smearing reputations, no more endless waiting or side-tracking careers,’ Hegseth said.

‘Of course, being a racist has been illegal in our formation since 1948. The same goes for sexual harassment. Both are wrong and illegal. Those kinds of infractions will be ruthlessly enforced,’ he said.

‘But telling someone to shave or get a haircut or to get in shape or to fix their uniform or to show up on time, to work hard, that’s exactly the kind of discrimination we want.’
