Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were seen sharing kisses and cuddles aboard the singer’s yacht over the weekend, sparking new romance rumors as autumn approaches.

Trudeau, 53, was seen without his shirt, while Perry, 40, wore a bathing suit as they enjoyed a passionate moment on the 79-foot yacht anchored off Santa Barbara’s coast, according to TMZ. Numerous outlets, including The Daily Mail, published photos capturing the couple locked in an embrace on the deck, adding fuel to the speculation about their relationship.

The duo first stirred dating rumors in July, when the “Roar” singer and the Canadian politician were observed dining together in Montreal. Soon after, Trudeau attended Perry’s “Lifetimes” concert in Montreal with his 16-year-old daughter, Ella-Grace, appearing as captivated as his teenage daughter.

Despite the sightings, the couple did not appear eager to make waves. Perry had broken up with her fiancé Orlando Bloom about a month prior, following a nine-year on-and-off relationship that resulted in a daughter. Meanwhile, Trudeau had recently concluded his 2023 divorce from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, his wife of 18 years and the mother of his three children.

“They are interested in each other, but it’s uncertain where things will lead,” a Canadian source told People in August. “She is traveling globally, and he is adjusting to life post-premiership in Canada, yet there is a palpable attraction. They share many common interests.”
