TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The second preseason game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is just a few hours away, as the team is set to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Steel City.

The Bucs are expected to play most of their starters minus quarterback Baker Mayfield, linebacker Lavonte David, and wide receiver Mike Evans.

With that being said, here are three Bucs players I’ll be keeping a close eye on tonight:

Tez Johnson – This seventh-round pick missed the opening preseason match against the Titans due to a leg injury, so he will likely be eager to prove himself tonight. As a former standout from Oregon, he is known for being a dynamic player both in receiving and return roles. Back in May, he expressed his ambition to secure the position of the Bucs’ starting punt returner. If he impresses during these last couple of preseason matches, the role could be his.

Nick Jackson – The undrafted rookie linebacker from Iowa made a noticeable impact during the preseason opener against the Titans. He led the Buccaneers with six tackles and achieved a sack, two tackles for loss, a quarterback hit, an interception, and a pass defensed. If he maintains this level of performance, he could solidify his place on the 53-man roster by the time the preseason concludes.

Shilo Sanders – Sanders has quickly garnered a fan following in Tampa Bay. Being the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, he was initially seen as an unlikely candidate to make the Bucs’ 53-man roster. However, a season-ending injury to J.J. Roberts presents Sanders with an opportunity, as his solid performance could earn him a spot on the team. In his debut against the Titans, he recorded one tackle and a quarterback hit.
