Kim Kardashian ‘freaked the f*** out’ when she met Manchester City striker Erling Haaland in Italy, the reality TV star and entrepreneur revealed in an interview this week.

Haaland has fast become one of the most recognisable football stars on the planet in recent years, thanks to his sensational goal scoring in Manchester and previously at German outfit Borussia Dortmund.

Since his £51m move to the Etihad last year, the Norwegian has already racked up an enviable portfolio of silverware, having won the Treble with Manchester City during the 2022-23 campaign.

The 43-year-old model revealed how she was blown away by the City hitman when the pair met at a Dolce and Gabbana fashion event in Italy.

According to Kardashian, her son Saint is a huge football fan and it gave her the perfect chance to earn his respect.

‘I was in Italy and I see Erling Haaland, and I freaked the f*** out because I know my son would be so excited, it’s like his thing,’ she told GQ.

‘So, I’m like such a loser FaceTiming at this event being like, ‘Saint, you’ll never guess who I ran into.’ I’m FaceTiming him and I’m like, ‘I’ve turned into this person that… it’s… I’m sorry.”

Keen to feed Saint’s passion for football, Kim took her son to watch Arsenal’s Europa League defeat against Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates last season, which saw Mikel Arteta’s side lose 5-3 on penalties.

She also revealed how Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is one of Saint’s idols, and that the pair love watching Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami.

‘My son is everything Cristiano Ronaldo. We’re definitely Inter Miami fans,’ she continued.

‘We had so much fan at PSG, every stadium is so different. At Arsenal, everyone’s been so good.

‘I don’t know every team, I’m not going to pick a team just yet. But yeah, I’m a soccer mom.’
