Kimberley Walsh has revealed that all plans for Girls Aloud’s 20th anniversary reunion tour have been put on hold in the wake of Sarah Harding‘s tragic death last month.

Speaking in a new interview, the mother-of-three, 39, clarified: ‘It’s not really something we’re even thinking about obviously, with the situation as it is.’

Speaking to The Sun, Kimberley added: ‘No one is even in that headspace right now.’

Kimberley and Sarah were in the chart-topping band from 2002-2013 alongside Cheryl, 38, Nicola Roberts, 35, and Nadine Coyle, 36.

A day after the news of Sarah’s passing was announced, Kimberley shared a touching message in honour of her friend on social media, writing in part: ‘Beautiful Sarah this hurts so bad. To wake up and know that you are really gone is too much to bear.

‘Hearing your infectious chuckle was one of my favourite things in the world…

‘Your fire burned so bright and you loved, lived and laughed so hard. Sending love and strength to everyone who is grieving today. My heart is broken.’

Elsewhere in her interview with the paper, Kimberley spoke candidly about the fact that all five Girls Aloud members reunited in the Cotswolds last year after Sarah went public with her diagnosis.

She also shared that ‘it’s nice’ seeing more of Nadine in recent months, with her former bandmate having recently moved back to London.

‘You can never say never,’ she quipped before revealing she’s ready to ‘move forward to the next stage of her life’ and is unlikely to have any more children, noting ‘it’s the right time for me to move on’.

As for her dream job, Kimberley told the paper she ‘would love’ to be a judge on Strictly Come Dancing one day.

Sarah, who found fame with the rest of Girls Aloud on reality singing show Pop Stars: The Rivals, revealed last year she had been diagnosed with cancer.

A message from Sarah’s mother Marie was posted to the star’s Instagram account to announce her death reading: ‘It’s with deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away.

‘Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day.

‘She slipped away peacefully this morning. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year. It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved.

‘I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright shining star and I hope that’s how she can be remembered instead. Marie x’.
