THE King has been dragged into the Prince Andrew Chinese spy scandal after legal documents were released by a court yesterday.

According to Dominic Hampshire, the former chief adviser to the Prince, he and Andrew had two clandestine meetings with Charles to discuss an investment fund associated with the alleged spy.

Mr. Hampshire stated they were brought into Windsor Castle discreetly to talk about potential new roles for the Prince following his tarnished reputation due to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

The ex-adviser said he believed Andrew’s reputation was “irrecoverable” after his 2019 Newsnight interview.

One proposed position was with the Chinese investment fund Eurasia, which was linked to alleged spy Yang Tengbo, who was previously mentioned as H6 in court documents.

He was kicked out of Britain in 2023 when MI5 said he was a national security threat.

Buckingham Palace quickly responded yesterday, saying: “While His Majesty met with the Duke and his adviser to hear outline proposals for independent funding, the individual known as H6 was not mentioned at any time.”

It is understood neither the King nor his advisers gave approval to the plan.

Mr Hampshire’s witness statement, released yesterday, was for an immigration tribunal and backed Mr Tengbo’s appeal against exclusion from the UK.

The former royal aide tried to block its release as it contained “sensitive” information.

But the Special Immigration Appeals Commission agreed a bid by media companies for its release.

The document revealed Prince Andrew was so close to China’s President Xi Jinping he sent him birthday letters.

Mr Hampshire claimed the royal household — including the late Queen — knew about Andrew’s notes to the communist leader.

The ex-adviser described them as a courtesy letters.

Mr Hampshire, who left the royal household in 2022, also claimed he had trust in Tengbo and there had “never been one single red flag”.

He claimed Andrew was “of the same opinion”.
