The owners of a restaurant in Greece have been beset by an unexpected wave of online vitriol after they bragged that Kylie Jenner had dined there. 

Soon after the 27-year-old reality TV star dined at Tassia Restaurant in the Greek village of Fiscardo on July 12, owners Polychronis Dendrinos and Tassia Dendrinou expressed their delight, sharing that it was a ‘true honor’ to host the ‘iconic entrepreneur and global trendsetter.’

Describing her as ‘an inspiring guest and one of the most influential women of her generation,’ the Dendrinos Family announced on Instagram. ‘She enjoyed a taste of our Greek hospitality and cuisine. Hosting such a remarkable guest was truly a pleasure. We look forward to welcoming her again soon!’

The producer and star of The Kardashians — who is turning 28 next month — also posted a picture of herself with her best friend Anastasia Karanikolaou, dining by the harbor at the 53-year-old establishment on the Ionian island of Kefalonia.

The restaurant boasts that all of the traditional home-cooked dishes at Tassia are sourced from local producers, with most of the vegetables come from their own garden.

But instead of receiving a bump in interest thanks to their recent celebrity guest, the owners quickly received intense backlash for publicly thanking Kylie, with Instagram one Instagram user commenting: ‘Honour? Why different from any other guest?’

‘Honour? For what? For [being] plastic [and lying] about it and [making] young girls insecure about [themselves]? Ohh noooo!’ Instagram user @moeselik scoffed.

The Jenner post went so viral some rushed to the comments to defend the family-owned restaurant with Instagram user @iamsophielauren writing: ‘People who are getting mad at this need to touch grass.’

‘People are just so jealous,’ Instagram user @myarchive.lib agreed.

‘This comment section is so negative. If I had Kylie come visit my restaurant I would post about it too.’

The last celebrity to grace Tassia was retired NBA star Magic Johnson on June 27, whom the owners described as a ‘returning guest with legendary energy.’

In 2022, Oscar-nominated actress Demi Moore stopped by and they remarked that ‘her timeless beauty and solid personality was bright enough to capture our hearts.’

Tassia previously hosted honorary Oscar winner Samuel L. Jackson, Queen Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles, Diesel founder Renzo Rosso, and disgraced former New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez.

The Miu Miu muse – who opted for a white-ruffled and ruched halter dress – has been vacationing in Europe since attending the ostentatious $56M wedding of Amazon executive chairman Jeff Bezos and his mistress Lauren Sánchez on June 27.

While in Kefalonia, Kylie and her gal pal Anastasia – who is of Greek descent – sipped on cocktails while cruising in a yacht.

Jenner originally met the 28-year-old Better Half podcaster at a Barnes & Noble in Calabasas in 2010 while they were both middle schoolers. 

In 2019, the Khy x Frankies Bikinis collaborator and Karanikolaou got matching ‘Stormi’ tattoos in honor of her seven-year-old daughter with disgraced AstroWorld founder, Travis Scott.

Kylie also mothered three-year-old son Aire Webster during her on/off five-year relationship with the 34-year-old rapper (born Jacques Webster), which ended in 2022.

Missing from Jenner’s side was her boyfriend of two years, Timothée Chalamet, who’s set to reprise his role as Emperor Paul ‘Muad’Dib’ Atreides in Denis Villeneuve’s three-quel Dune: Messiah this month.

The big-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1969 sci-fi space opera novel is already scheduled to hit US theaters December 18, 2026.
