Fallyn Zerbe, 30, is facing a series of charges from various agencies, including reckless driving, fleeing from law enforcement, and aggravated assault on an officer.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Earlier this month, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office released videos on Monday of a high-speed chase that started in St. Johns County and concluded in Jacksonville, resulting in the arrest of a woman now facing multiple felony charges.

SJSO stated that Florida Highway Patrol troopers apprehended Fallyn Zerbe, 30, after a crash, as she is now dealing with several charges from different agencies, such as reckless driving, fleeing from law enforcement, and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

On August 6, around 2:30 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that SJSO deputies tried to stop Zerbe, citing her for speeding and driving recklessly. SJSO indicated that deputies spotted Zerbe traveling at a high speed on Interstate 95.

SJSO further noted that Zerbe engaged in reckless driving and attempted to crash into patrol vehicles and other drivers while evading deputies. JSO reported that Zerbe was speeding over 100 mph and was seen holding a hammer out of her window.

FHP then joined in on the chase, and requested assistance from JSO on I-95 at the Duval County line, JSO said.

The chase continued north on I-95 through Jacksonville’s Southside and downtown regions, as per JSO, and concluded when a JSO officer executed a PIT maneuver on Zerbe’s car on the interstate at the Trout River.

Around 3:05 p.m. the day of the incident, JSO said officers took Zerbe into custody.

According to Duval County court records, Zerbe will be in court for her arraignment on Aug. 28 for six felony charges and three misdemeanor charges.

As of Tuesday, Aug. 19, she remains in the Duval County Jail, with a bond set at $407,527.
